There's just a possibility that my week 17 black & white photograph this Friday may be of two young male strippers in my spare bedroom...

[Minds out of the gutters, folks! They were stripping wallpaper.]

0:)

We are, as you're well aware, easily misled into low places. Now that you've placed the tease I certainly hope you provide the treat.

I'll have a look at the couple of photos I took once I have transferred them to the computer, and decide if any of them may suitable enough to share with the rest of the world.

I can hear dad crying in his room... mom was so excited about coming here and spending time with her brother and seeing my pregnant cousin.

The forecast in for storms but we'll hike/walk, go on bike rides and eat lot of Reblochon cheese! ;)

Sounds like a nice vacation, Clo. It's really too bad that your mom couldn't be there, but you can still remember the happy times you had with her on vacations past.

Reblochon cheese....I think I'll cook some veggies and potatoes on the grill tomorrow, and make a Raclette. It's supposed to get colder after nightfall this week.

Hi guys, sorry I've been busy lately, mostly sorting through paperworks in the aftermath of mom's passing. You do paperwork for an office that tells you their need papers from another one who needs papers from another one blablabla. It's an endless cycle the french administration isn't know for its reactivity but hopefully I managed to set things rolling in the right direction and all should be dealt with and close by mid to late August.

Dad and I (my brother has to work) made it to my uncle's chalet near  Annecy's lake  after 7+hours on the road. It's beautiful and the view is wow! It's divided in 2 parts: the main house with a big kitchen/living room space with a balcony opening up on a terrace going around half the house, a beautiful bathroom, 1 bedroom. Upstairs there are 2 big bedrooms. Dad and I are on the second part of the house: the basement turned into a really nice apartment made of a living space all equipped to eat and cook with couches and TV, 2 bedrooms and another beautiful bathroom. The basement and the main house are connected by a small room with stairs. There's also a small dependency in the garden which is originally a hay storage but is insulated  and all so they're thinking maybe turning it into a spa.

Downside there are lizards and vipers in the bushes

Hopefully the rain will at least help dampen down some of the dust.

@Headstall  Whan your eyes get better (hopefully soon) I'd like to recommend Brian's new story Any Day. You'll enjoy the descriptions of the cottage and the planned renovations from chapter 8 onwards. Reminds me of some of your stories.

I agree with Tim. I've been enjoying the story too.

Thanks for the heads up, Tim. Just read the first chapter on foot of your recommendation. Definitely looks good.

Yesterday was the 33rd anniversary of my father's death. He would be 101 if he were still alive today.

Here's a photograph that was taken in 2013 of his eight children stood beside his grave. His age shown on the headstone is incorrect; he was actually 69 when he died.
