Popular Post Headstall Posted August 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 5, 2020 Long talk with my son. He misses being home home. I'm going to try to work it out, somehow, so he stays in the basement... will have to convince my other kids. 5 1

It's one a friend gave me a number of years ago. I'll ask her if she knows next time I'm talking to her. I actually have it growing in a large container, because it would try to take over the whole garden if it were planted in the ground. Sounds like Triffid mint 3 1

Popular Post dughlas Posted August 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 6, 2020 G'day y'all. I think it's going to be an indoor sort of day. It's overcast and currently 71/21° with 75% humidity making it feel muggy. There was a bit of drizzle during our morning walk but not enough to make us wet. The forcast is for intermittent showers and storms as the day progress with a high temp only in the upper 70's/~25°. My head is already achy and I'm feeling lethargic. I think I'd mentioned my dad had a cardiac incident this spring. The docs have been trying to get things sorted but not been too successful. It seems his atrium flutter rather than beating properly. Yesterday they performed a procedure in which they stopped his heart then restarted it. I was not with him. A former neighbor has been staying with him and she went along to the hospital. She has a background in elder care. She also has POA since I was in SC. I wasn't told if the procedure was successful only that he stayed in the hospital overnight for observation because h is heart rate was slow. I texted him this morning and he's not feeling all that great. He thinks they'll be doing more tests since he hasn't been any fluids or food. His 86th birthday is next Wed., the 12th. This isn't a bright and cheery day. Blessed be. 1 1 6

They now predict 24 named storms, twice what is average. If this occurs all the names for this year will be used and they'll start naming the storms based on the Greek alphabet. They also expect 12 hurricanes, twice the average of 6 and 5 major hurricanes more than twice the average of 2. I am not best pleased. 1 3 2
