Popular Post Marty Posted January 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 28, 2021 Thought you might be interested in seeing what my boundary wall looks like from the neighbour's garden.... For reference, the ladder is positioned near the centre of the shed whose gable wall partially collapsed last week. (And I reckon that the next time I see my neighbour I should maybe be looking for payment from him for all the work I've done in his garden ) 2 7

How are things with you? Doesn't change the fact that you turned 100 before me! Hey, Pagey! I've been feeling under the weather lately, a couple of days ago, I blew my nose and when I pulled away the Kleenex I saw some blood on it. 30 minutes ago, Marty said: Greetings, young fellow! Popular Post dughlas Posted January 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 28, 2021 Tonights dinner was cheese tortellini tossed in a ragu of shallot, portabella mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and chopped black olives. For dessert I made baked rice pudding. It was a cold blustery day so a main dish with deep earthy flavors seemed right and the rice pudding is one of my favorite cold weather comfort foods. 4 2

Truth be told, I don't think he's ever seen it. He lives about 8 miles away and hasn't visited the place in years, as far as I know. The property was the local old folks home until about ten years back, when a new state of the art one was built (it's actually the large building that can be seen beyond the large stone wall at the end of my upper garden). The guy who bought the original old folks home is a builder. No more than the garden, it's been neglected since he bought it. I think he sees it as an investment opportunity, and is simply waiting for the property market to improve (after the economic downturn of 2008) before he will do it up to sell at a profit. There are actually a number of empty properties on the main street in my village. Edited January 28, 2021 by Marty typo 7

Mine was steamed potatoes, swede, and carrots from the garden, covered with finely grated vintage cheddar cheese, and a side dish of sardines and salad. For dessert I had a slice of homemade banana loaf. Similar to what dughlas says, a dish of mainly root vegetables seems just right for this time of the year. 4 2
Marty Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 So it's coming up to 1:00am (again) here, and I reckon I should once again fool myself by hoping that sleep shall bring back my beauty. Good night, friends! And, talking of foolishness, I'm going to leave you all tonight with this latest piece of Tomfoolery: 2 3

I watched this earlier when it posted on youtube and wanted to share but couldn't seem to get the link to import so I gave up. I think that's the second time you've said you are having trouble importing YouTube links... And I think both myself and someone else (@clochette?) said the first time that all you need to do is to copy the YouTube link, and paste it directly into your reply. If that's what you are doing, and it isn't working, I'm not sure what can be wrong... I have read that some YouTube links may be (designed to be?) non-embeddable, but if you were trying to embed the same video link I successfully shared, I fail to understand why it wouldn't embed for you. Just a thought... you are simply pasting the link directly into the text editor, I assume. What I mean is you are not clicking on the "Link" button at the top of the editor to add the link? If you use the Link button, the YouTube link will simply appear as a clickable link, rather than rendering into displaying the actual video in your reply. So just paste the link directly into the text area of your reply, and it should display correctly... ************* Hope this helps. If not, maybe pose a question in the Help Forum.
