I'm very happy with the result of the light wood look-alike vinyl. In the light the charcoal paint shines like the metallic paint of a car.

I like the old /modern contrast. That's why I'm hesitating between those 2 types of handles to bring back a vintage touch.

I'm almost worried about Val when I say this...

But I had home made thick cut potato chips (fries) and a mushroom omelette.

(I decided a few weeks back to resurrect my old chip pan after a number of years of not using it, and finally getting to the stage where my home made chips are getting back to their awesomeness.)

I'm seeing one tomorrow too. The past week I had to complete a tab with everything I ate and drank. Of course it fell on the week we had BBQ almost every days for dinner and often potatoes in different forms and not soup

All that pale skin must have been blinding.

While still not dawn it bodes to be another lovely day here. It's currently 58/14° and clear with a bright cresent moon and stars. Forecast is for upper 70's/25°. The plan is to continue mulching after going out for brekkie and a quick trip to the greenhouse for replacements for the frost kill.

It's the opposite here. A week ago it went up to 26°C but today it's down to 5°C (it was -3°C early morning!)

She's more likely to ask what your usual weekly meals are. And to ask about your alcohol intake. And don't be surprised (being diabetic) if she also spends a long time talking about good and bad cholesterol levels, and what foods are good and bad, as regards them. I don't think just one meal will be all she will be interested in.

Oh... and if she's anything like mine, she will send you home weighed down with numerous leaflets.

Nothing wrong with the humble potato. 

Although if the "different forms" bit means what it is cooked with (or in), then maybe you are not treating it right.
