  1. “Fall back to the gate!” Shad’ler, the Elven King yelled, and his officers repeated his commands to the remaining elven troops on the battlefield. There would be no time to look for survivors or to retrieve the fallen. Shad’ler had to harden his heart for this to work. The vast forest clearing surrounding the elven castle rang with the clash of swords as the two armies struggled. The smell of blood, smoke, and death filled the air as the elven army was trying to hold off the horde of demons
  2. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy this story, after this chapter, but please enjoy the next bus you choose. There are usually route descriptions at the beginning of the line.
  3. That makes sense to me, going for a neutral sound.
  4. Thank you, Mister Will for reading my story. In hindsight, Julia would of been a better choice. I had originally named her Jules after the French writer Jules Verne. My original team of Beta Readers, and Editors were my real life friends and family, who helped on these first chapters. They were less than stellar in their editing. Though, now I have a wonderful editor named @Kitt, who has gone and re-edited this chapter, among others, and some great Beta Readers.

    poet lost

Excellent, and well crafted my friend. Love the imagery in both of them.
  6. A full moon lit the night sky, as the two men left the cinema. They could have been a father and son out for a movie night, but that was not the case. The younger of the two was twenty-four, short at just over five feet in height with a slender build, while the other was a much older bearded man with the build of a linebacker who stood a foot taller than his companion. It was a chilly night, not unusual for that time of year in Tampa, Florida, and the younger man shivered as they headed towards

    Origin of Spirit

Thanks for reading, jp. Spirit can do anything need to inspire his charges. Yes, to a point, he would do anything. However, seeing as I used elements of myself in the last story, I don't think I should write about him getting hot and heavy with the writer. Would make for an interesting, optic...

    Origin of Spirit

Thanks, Moggie. Technically maybe.... perhaps.... but, not planing on anymore with Spirit. Granted, wasn't planning this one, it just sorta spilled across the screen, so to speak.
  10. He sat at the side of the clearing looking across the empty field, in the heart of the forest. Oaks, Pines, Aspens, and a variety of other trees ringing the grassy field, that was dusted with a scattering of wildflowers. Even though he was just born, he was already a fully mature adult, with knowledge of the world and beyond, powers to accomplish his goals, and zeal to help artists. He stood up to his full 6’6” height and flexed his athletically toned body. It was his first time moving, and a sm
  11. It's good for me now.
  12. This was a fantastic story about Brotherly Love. A must read.
  13. I do have an AdBlocker installed... However, I've disable it several months ago, so GA can get the revenue from the ads while I'm here. I have verified it is still disabled for GA. I also see ads on most pages as well. There's this new Amazon Book Ad, that is appearing now, and it is HUGE. Like 4 or 5 inches tall. Was posting a heads-up, in case it was like one of the internal ads for someone's book, etc.
  14. The link is between the two post, titled "advertisement_alt."
  15. Been seeing a lot of Broken links, around the forum, and other areas. Like this one:
  16. This was an excellent story. Had a fine balance of comedy, drama, and seriousness, to make it well rounded.

    Chapter 11

Excellent chapter, tim. Louis telling Miriam that he forgave her, was really touching. Loved the description of him looking out the window. Very picturesque.
  19. Hey @Drew Espinosa, can you help out with this math problem?

  23. I posted one for #611: https://www.gayauthors.org/story/bhopper2/my-shorts-and-flash-fictions/12 I'm planning on doing one for 612 of last weeks, and 613 looks pretty neat as well.
  24. @Myr and @Cia, I really didn't think of that, when I put the request in, and I totally understand now. Please disregard the request.
