Great chapter. I figured out about the bear, but Devin and his family are so much more. Also if the great grandfather is still alive from the 1800s then this ability must add longevity to them as well.

So much going on in this chapter. Trever really assumed the leadership role he is as a Beta. I’m not sure in this wolf-verse if mates, especially the wolf in this case, would not know that they met their mate. I think Trevor just really likes what he is feeling with Randy, will have to see how that plays out. Glad they were able to get the medical support needed quickly. It helps having friends in other packs. And with an elemental healer that should help recovery.

Glowing purple eyes? Almost human? Is this the vampire? Possibly a recently turned one? Or one much older, who is hungry too? We still have no idea if there is life other than animals on the island. But he is alive for now. Most people have no survival skills. There are probably fruits around he could eat, he just does not know what to look for.

Another great chapter, and that did seem like a date. I did notice one thing near the beginning talking about how the days were similar “him always calling me Mateo instead of Mat”. I think the names should be swapped.

Since this is the backstory to where we started in the future, it seems like things got better, then something happened. And the title is a clue. Maybe they are both upset that they wrote each other and never got a reply. Thought something out of their control. They hopefully will talk at some point, and clear up the situation. -
Rusty is taking the high road with Connor. And he has the car to get to his brother’s party. Loving that Maddox and Jonathan, Dad and Mom roles. A key for Matty, yes! he has worked hard for that.

Aside from the bad exchange vets, the guys are taking advantage of their time in the UK. Visiting zoos and possibly seeing animals the would not see any other way.

Getting them to work as a team seems like they are going to need to have this trusted relationship in the future. Maybe this experience will rid Novo of some of the trauma of his past too… great chapter. -
Great chapter, all of Marc’s friends are on the same page now. Hopefully this will help him going forward. Now for Sawyer to make up for not being there in his time of need. Then again, Marc had not left a message…. Communication is a two way street, and they both have been pretty poor at it up to now.

I felt that this was coming, just not the how of Zhiv’s death. David and River will carry on, and hopefully the world I’ll wake up and change.
