    Chapter 2

Short but sweet, including the tour of the ship. More please!
  2. Loved the Drive-in scene and how it ended. Jamie really doesn't do mornings well . Donuts were were never going to spare him getting razzed by the guys. .

    Chapter 2

A fast read as they get to know each other's bodies. Aaron could be an ongoing problem however.
  4. FYI The site has over the course of several years had a couple of authors who submitted stories plagiarized from other sites. The Admins have been good at tracking this down and taking down the stories and banning the perps. I suppose having billing addresses may also be a security feature to assist in cases like that. Likewise, some stories from GA have been plagiarized and posted to other sites. The site has provided assistance in those cases as well. So having your bona fides is a good idea.

    Exhibition

Sebastian may not think of himself as gay, but if this first chapter is any indication, he is easy....

    Chapter 1

Pathfinders...I like it. Waiting for more.
  7. Clarity and transparency about the rules are big pluses! Continued good luck on the move and somehow I can't picture you being any less busy after it's completed....
  8. I'm hooked. I like the dad. I like the son. I like the setting and the house is awesome. I'm not so sure about a straight live-in butler with weekends off, but maybe he just resides in the background. Waiting to see where you take this next, but I think it's a given that the maternal grandparents will be a pain in the ass.
  9. I know that Drake is nursing (or should I say hoarding) the hurt inflicted by Richard, but at the same time he is so dense and can't see the gem that is Jimmy. Jimmy meanwhile, is pulling all the strings he can to stay involved in Drake's life and doing a masterful job of it. Our esteemed author has really outdone himself in writing a prince of a man and I congratulate him on a job well done. While I believe he may throw some bumps in the road yet, it does seem inevitable at this point that Jimmy will ultimately have his way with Drake. However, if life happens and it doesn't work out, then Gary has seriously strayed from his bias toward HEA endings.
  10. I think Michigan will be their biggest test yet. It's been fun to follow their success.

    Epilogue

@stlstage Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked it!
  12. Good friends are priceless and it was great that you could make his birthday a real surprise! Congrats to you both and his spouse as well for organizing it.
  13. Well done Carlos! From start to finish, I wouldn't want to change anything in this final chapter of this book. Thanks for sharing.
  14. In the arc of a young man's life, his parents, his siblings, his friends and his lovers and the events in their lives help shape and form his character. CJ has been through a lot, much of it wonderful, some not so much.... Every life has heartaches, reverses, or bumps in the road and a death is usually a significant one. It forces us to confront our own mortality and realize that life is a gift which we too often take for granted. "Over the Rainbow" is a well told story of such an event in CJ's life with an exquisitely bitter-sweet ending which has a profound effect. I encourage anyone who reads this review to take the time to read this story and experience the effect for themselves.
  15. Well told chapter which covered so much in a very fast read! Jamie has friends and ability and compassion, which is a winning combination. Kids left in cars are a nightmare and I'm with Jamie...." But really, leaving your kid locked in a car for hours or even fifteen minutes in 98°F plus? It just can end so tragically.” We had an incident here in the St. Louis area where a couple of college professors, one who was a medical doctor left their infant child in a car seat and the child died. Smart people but lousy parents! So apparently that kind of stupidity knows no sociological boundaries and it's always a tragedy. Dealing with it is hard for everyone and first responders are not immune to tragedy no matter how often they have to deal with it and have to utilize peer support providers. Thanks for sharing and for providing a little insight into that point of view.
  16. I did and just re-read and reviewed it as well. Here is a link to WARS END 1. Story
  17. Stop! Read Mark's story Furlough before reading this story which is more than an epilogue! This is a fitting finish to Furlough and is a fast and scintillating read! As always with Mark's stories, there is a bit of sex, a lot of love and much thought.

  18. Mark Arbour's Furlough is one of my favorites as well and I just re-read it.
  19. I can't write a review as good as Westie's chapter comment on the story, so I quote it here with attribution: Westie 844 Posted December 29, 2010 This story has a number of themes that I find often in Mark Arbour stories. We have the setting: Paris, at a turning point in history. There is a unique set of events unfolding in the world around the characters, but at the same time the characters are not obsessed by these events. Sure they are pivotal, but they do not overtake the story. Another theme is the futility of war. Mark - as he often does - casts war as a destroyer force. He masterly crafts an atmosphere that accurately conveys the pointlesness of fighting. This story is very much a tale with the melancholy of war as its background. A final, and most powerful theme is Sex as a Healing force - both emotionally and physically. With this short story, Mark has once again shown us he is a master Wordsmith and craftsman.

    Chapter 44

There are a lot of good people, especially in small town America. Good people sometimes ignore ignorance in others which can give the impression that prejudice is acceptable. Daniel shot that down and made people realize it is not to be tolerated. I just hope the election goes okay whatever the result.
  21. Jimmy is patient, persistent, philosophical, and perfect for Drake and even Drake is starting to realize how much he does for him. Preston is a damaged piece of goods that was not made better by adversity and whether he has taken it out on Drake as Dot suspects or is naturally an asshat is invenerial as a dear friend would say. Drake needs to realize that love can hurt and that if you don't take a chance on love, you end up loveless.
  22. Saw it was the number one story being read on site today and gave it a spin and now am looking forward to more. Good start...these guys got to learn to drink more water when drinking alcohol.

    Chapter 43

Interesting conclusion to the chapter and not what I expected. "....and three were definitely less than receptive." Now that has me a bit worried. Hopefully, the next chapter will be out sometime this coming week!
  24. You done good! And had me wiping tears. And left me worried. Now I got to wait another week!

    Chapter 1

OK they "fit" but with a 24 year age difference the relationship will have to work on several other levels to work and to show how that happens or not is a challenge...unless JD just wants to be a boy toy.
