Well, my happy 4-20 greeting seems to have worked! Even if the chapter forgot the part where the guys light up.... The attack on Goodland still seems surreal and now that they have arrived back in CA, I wonder what the next move of the cartel will be. A very fast read, yet over 6000 words. The writing flows well and conveys so well. I'm guessing some will be put off by CJ's interaction with Karl, but I found it consistent. I think it ends up a bonus that Ceasar separates from E&Y and becomes more involved in family investments. The wedding planning sounds about normal. Starts out intimate and uncomplicated and just grows. Finally, the pre-nup, still a good idea but not worth warring over.

Drake is starting to get a clue but keeps focusing on his doubts and worry about the possibility of being burned again. Jimmy is still a gem and despite losing it a bit with Drake, I hope he keeps working on him and doesn't give up.

So I suspect that Klaus will live up to his bargain and Jake will have his schooling paid for, wherever he attends. The question is, who will be the most hard-headed? Jake, believing Klaus was too hard on the one family member he has left or Klaus, who just walked away from the only man to ever really spark his passion? Truly a lose/lose situation unless someone pulls their head out of their ass.

Well told chapter Dodger, but it's a bit bleak for me and hits too close to too many real life stories I've known... edit: I guess I should add that self-medication is a very common reaction to PTSD. PTSD is a stress reaction and the loss of a spouse and having minor children in the family is a major stress situation and we still don't know if perhaps there are delayed stress reactions from his time in service in addition....So yeah I've known too many stories and many don't have happy ever afters...

Well what you know, there's a conspiracy to take down Daniel and one of the pawns named Dennis decided he could pull the same shit on the coach. This could get really ugly.

You can't pick your relatives but Tibs sounds like a real loser asking for the proverbial "second" chance, something Robert's dad seems to have done at least once too often already. Now Adam has to think about his son, and the adjustments they both must make. Life can sure get complicated in hurry.

A very interesting take on something that is more common than many want to admit. Sexual confusion and latency are not fake news. There are people who are born this way, meaning either really straight or really gay and there are people who fall more to the middle of Kinsey's scale and it takes time to sort it out as to whether they are straight, bi or gay. Now this does not excuse anyone for leading someone on and then dumping them. Richard's actions and the way he handled things have had a long lasting effect on Drake and apparently Richard and that means Bernadette too. The kiss just confirmed that Richard has ongoing issues and hopefully Drake will not make them his too. Unfortunately, our golden boy Jimmy is not in the chapter. It would be nice if Drake has the courage to give him a blow-by-blow account of Richard's story as that may be the thing that makes him sort himself out about how he feels about it all....and that may give Jimmy a well-deserved chance. Just hoping!

Klaus is now officially beyond smitten. Jake is way beyond that. Diaz and the gangs seem bound to make life challenging in the near future. Klaus seems prepared to handle that...but what about Jake?

Jamie finds Sam and is leaving on an extended trip. Will he be there when Jamie returns? Will Jamie?

The back story on Duncan was deftly told. That Rob was able to be frank talking about sex with his still almost a stranger dad was surprising and Adam as a first time parent handled it well. Meeting the grand parents was interesting, but no mention of the rest of the family implied there was none....then out of the blue an estranged brother Tobit is sprung on us and for the first time in fifteen years wants to talk. And you leave us hanging

I think Jimmy is right to trust Richard to clear some things up. Jimmy is still a golden guy in my opinion and if Drake doesn't wake up soon and realize that Jimmy isn't playing a game, then he deserves to lose him too.

Jake is either a real diamond in the rough or a master manipulator. I think Klaus has it right.
