Thanks for sharing another interesting chapter in CJ's life. It seems CJ is learning that not all pastors are priggish bigots... Every time I read a chapter, I'm left wanting more....a lot more.

Another sad chapter tempered with a bit of joy at the beginning. Ritchie and CJ and Owen have lost a lot in a short period of time. Mourning requires some alone time and reflection, but it also requires family or friends to help share the grief. Hopefully, this family is up to the task and comes through this more appreciative of the gift that their life really is.

Dodger's stories do show how much he has progressed as a writer. As an older reader, I agree with Carlos that the Cockney Canuck has a bit much teenage angst for my taste. The dark tale about the soldier's tale is too much like much of my real life where I spent more than thirty years going through veteran's files and reading their medical and psychological records while adjudicating claims. Wounded warriors don't all have purple hearts or medals as some of their worst wounds are invisible except in the anguish in their faces and their heart wrenching stories.

Since I've been on the internet since before the days when a 14.4 modem was state of the art, it seems that privacy, hackers and government have always been out of sync and at cross purposes. Of course the ways to hack, scam phish, etc, etc, etc have grown exponentially, but so have the number of internet connected users and devices and the legal guidelines are still grossly inadequate and frankly less than helpful. We've come a long way from the days of slow modems and accessing bulletin boards where short stories were posted and yes smut was there from the start. I'm just glad, GA is able to continue to provide a reliable and accessible forum for stories and comments. Thanks for all you do and this is why I have a premium subscription! -

Poor Klaus, taken for the ride of his life resulting in an epic orgasm and cuddling for the night only to wake to an empty bed. It seems he is more in thrall to Jake than vice versa, but the next chapter should tell....

So Carullo, also still dealing with the aftermath of the 9.11 trauma, has commitment issues and is getting out of town...I can't be as tough in my judgment of him as some of the other comments. Wounded people heal at different rates and some never completely heal. JJ is shown to be more resilient than I ever suspected and he even is beginning to show some surprising maturity while still being snarky. Will is Will and I suspect he will make the best of anything that is thrown at him because he is the epitome of a survivor. Dillon is interesting, but maybe not as much as was hoped.... Thanks for the timely follow-up post, and as usual: More please!

Is this a another cliff-hanger with a full naval engagement pending or just a bluff on the part of the Danes? Whitworth is worth at best an half-wit and seems clueless and lacks judgment. I hope Daventry's judgment and assessment of the Russian position is correct.... More please!

In a house that old it's not just lead, electrical and plumbing, it's also old gas pipes for gas lights and also fireplaces that need their flues rebuilt, replacement windows that have to be custom made...and the list can go on and on but at least they have the resources.

Drake really doesn't know how to go after what he wants. Jimmy went from being a guy who cared, to being more worried about how he felt which while understandable, sucks. -
I'm really hoping that plane ride involves them physically and emotionally reconnecting....

Brad has finally moved on from the loss of Robbie---maybe, but it has been a tortuous path with highs and lows, so we shall see how Jake works out.... Dillon seems quite the distraction and if he can surf and isn't really hiding anything too damning, I think he has an in, maybe even eventually into Stanford??
