One Coming Out in Seven Short Stories

Summer vacation had started out well for Derry and Caleb. There was much to occupy two adventurous boys in the rural landscape in which they lived. They had the woods, and the fields, and the waterways to occupy them.

And they had each other.

But then they made a discovery - a strange place hidden in the forest, a pathway to lands beyond description. And suddenly, the summer was not quite so simple any longer.

Reilly Jackson is a good ole' cornbread Southern boy: boots, pickup and all. He loves Braydon more than anything in the world. But Braydon is the target of an abusive older man. How complex can their lives get? And can the boys find happiness where Family Pride is practically a religion, and being gay is reviled?

Ian Randolph carries a lot of baggage and isn't the nicest man around. Then all of a sudden the boy with the bluest eyes storms into his life and throws his world off balance. Ian slowly learns to love and Micheal learns that love in real life is much more difficult, cruel, and deceiving, than in his books. Can they dodge all the curve balls that are thrown at them and carve out the relationship they both want?

While all of this is happening, Nick learns that it's okay to be different.

According to his father, Max Cauler Jr. canʼt seem to do anything right. After ʻthe old manʼ catches him in bed with another boy, heʼs left with no choice but to run away, but being homeless has a cost of its own. Can you ever go home?
