This story was written as an addition to the Sanitaria Springs series of stories. Those are stories written by Dabeagle and other authors who he invited to contribute. They are about events in the lives of several teen boys who live in the fictional town of Sanitaria Springs in New York State. The stories are interwoven and this particular story picks up on a character first met in a story titled 'Without A Trace.'

I do not think it is essential to read that story before reading this tale as I believe there is sufficient 'back story' here to enable this one to stand alone, but feel free to do so.

Tony is a high school student with a crush on a straight classmate. One day, his dreams come true as he and his crush are taken from Polk High School and appear in a mysterious tube suspended in a white void. Trapped with the object of his desires, Tony is forced to examine his feelings, what they mean for Rory, and the limits of both free will and of the human heart.

This story is about Mike. His mother volunteered him to help out during the Sinterklaas parade in the Netherlands. It's not really something he would do normally, but he has no choice. In the end, however, it was surely worth his time.

17 year old Arnold has seen his fair share of life, plus interest. He navigates everyday without hope or interest until someone takes interest in him. Can he regain his "light" or is he fated to be consumed by the darkness as well?

As Adam is running from his old life, he meets many interesting people. Still, it seems hard to leave his old life behind, as it's trying to catch up with him every time he takes time to rethink it all.

They had been pulled apart, their mother slowly falling into her mind, when he had been six. But now their mother had died just a month before and her will had asked for them to come together at least one last time to get what she has left behind for them.

They thought they would walk away with a piece of liquidated estate and money for their own lives.

They hadn't expected to find themselves coming back together as siblings.
