During the COVID pandemic, two thirteen-year-old boys fall in love while attempting to deal with the climate crisis. They meet while rescuing a racoon. Their relationship strengthens as they add information to parked vehicles, restaurants, and a fountain. Later they demonstrate in drag, practice foreplay, run around naked on the prairies, develop a close relationship with prairie dogs, and experience an extreme weather event.

They became fast friends and once Karl discovered Carlo was gay, he became Carlo's protector. We experience the trials and tribulations encountered by the two friends, right along with them.

This is a collection of poems I have and will be writing to celebrate life. I want to emphasize the beauty in our lives, humor and changes we make.

Follow his parents wishes for one more year and they would pay for his freedom. It was working out well so far. He had friends. He had a job. He was just biding his time but he didn't plan on being the one thing this town hated most: Gay. Could he keep his secret long enough to get out of Meadowbrook?
