Musings of a Messed Up Mind - 9. Repairing Tim

My nightmare ... my cure and betrayal

Repairing Tim

Weaving my soul; one thought at a time
Pills I take to accept the pain
I talk and hope you will cure me
Chase the evil that haunts my dreams
You have opened my mind
Mysteries spill forth – unchained

I see all the answers – he’s standing before me
My lover – the friend I thought that he was
Now I know – I can see so clearly.
He’s sold me for the last time
I was beaten and broken
And left there to die

The dreams have almost stolen my mind
You’ve broken my heart, Jeff
But can’t reach my soul
I step up and seize what’s mine
I can’t ask you why, but it matters not
You’ve hurt me for the last time

I hope this is the end. I have a few more treatments, but after that I see peace.

I can see how cathartic this poem is, Tim

From these words, I see you letting go of your past, standing up, and seizing your future. :) It is incredibly uplifting to see you move forward

This is more of you at your best, tim. What a revelation to your tortured mind. Now you can leave it for dead, like you were left. You've won, and he is gone. Your strength astounds me. Gary.

Gary thanks. You and all of you have been so supportive. Made a lot of my days easier having you guys to talk to. Thanks for reading and your great comments.

For the last time! That's just it! You win, you get to move on. You know and he's got no hold on you now.

We are with you Tim..

Hi Def. Thanks you guys have been amazing. You all just took me in and have been solid support for me. I can't tell you what that means. You didn't know me, you all are like Michael's mum.. just adopted me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hey Tim

You've been through so much that I cannot begin to comprehend...

I'm glad you now know what it was that haunted your dreams so that you can banish it to where it belongs.

I wish you sweet dreams with tonight being the first of many.

Thank you for sharing your words with us.

Hi 1810, it feels like it's over finally. I feel like I'm free. Thank you for all of your support, for puttiing up with my moods, you guys have been brilliant.

I think those were the most touching lines for me. He hurt your heart but the spirit of who you are is still strong. I hope that this will help you purge those memories so they have less power over you now.

It's already started LL. I'm tired but I feel good. I feel lighter, I know the truth and like they say, it sets you free.

Thank you for all the support..

Such a profoundly moving poem. To be able to seize oneself and see past the pain to peace. You wrote a powerful story in these stanzas, far more powerful than prose. And I hope the peace is there for you, always.

I've forgiven Jeff. Someone asked recently if I think about him anymore. Sometimes. He was a big part of my life and though he hurt me, really he just didn't know better. His life made mine look like heaven.

Thanks Parker.. hugs xoxox
