Musings of a Messed Up Mind - 6. True Love

A poem for my love

True Love

I watch you sleeping and
feel your love wend its way
through me. Touching my soul; making
me ache with pain I never thought could be real.

It is the pain of a love so deep, nothing
but you can fill it. And you do.
Without it, the universe that is me

Would weep

Out of likes, so for now
To love someone so much that the feelings become physical is truly very special.
What a wonderful "ache" to have.
Love the meaning behind your words Tim.

Thanks my friend. Sometimes it just feels that way. It aches and I don't know how to stop it, or that I'd want to

As always, thanks for the support, your time and your kind comments.

A new, and different level for you, Tim. "Without it, the universe that is me
Would weep"
Holy crap. That's as powerful an expression of feeling as can be achieved. That's how to say 'I love you'... you and your Michael are lucky to have found something so deep and real... got me right here <points at heart>. So uplifting... one of my favorites... cheers... Gary....

Thanks. Mike was with me at my latest appointment today. He is just so solid and I thought about how lucky I am and how much he's gone through because of me. And he has.. and never complains only loves me.

Thanks for your review. It's special and I appreciate it.

Oh Tim!!! :D You and Gary have really sparked my interest in poetry. Thank you for that  This is a really beautiful poem and to be honest this poem is above and beyond many of today's love songs. :) Yep... I said it, I think if you add music to this and your other poems, they will be amazing songs

Depth of soul ... It seems each ofyour poems expresses yours. Wonderful.

Now in response to your reply to Gary. That's what love does. It accepts and supports. I'm glad you have Mike and he you.

Hi dugh... thanks. We're lucky but I still don't think it was luck. Someone else had a hand in us meeting.

Thank you for your comments and your support.

Perfect. The whole poem just so deeply meaningful I can't do justice with a review. That last line...Brilliant.
You and Mike, so lucky to have that kind of love!

Tim, this is fantastic. You capture the idea quickly, economically, fluidly. As with your previous poems, you have me thinking of the music that might go alongside it, that permeates my brain as I read it. Thinking Erik Satie's haunting melodies here. Am not worthy!

I have to say the image of weeping stars in the sky is amazingly beautiful. I'm glad you do not have to feel that, or see that, because your love is indeed able to touch your soul.

Thanks for posting this, Tim.

Hmmm, I'm sorry I missed this AC. I love a lot of people, I weep for them sometimes. Their pain becomes mine because they are wrapped around my heart.

Sensational! It gives me such a vibe of soul mates and those last two lines sum it up perfectly.
