Musings of a Messed Up Mind - 1. Chapter 1 Electric Dreams - a poem

There is stuff you just shouldn't do.

Electric Dreams

I'm drawn to you, it's magnetic
It's wrong but it seems so right
A lover in my mind.

We speak through space, instantly
Whisper words we should not say
Weavers of erotic dreams.

I long to touch what i cannot have
Vows and words would be broken
But foolish is my heart.

You have this way with words, that I can hardly describe :) Tim, you are insanely talented.

I could feel the pain of the narrator in describing the affair that would happen if they make the dream reality.

Thanks for this poem

Hey Drew. Thanks, it's easy to do when you're telling the awful stupid truth about something you nearly did. The dude is a great guy, but it just can't be me.

You show us here where the power of words... poetry... can clarify for us what matters in life. The words are beautiful, the message more so... there is a stunning truth to this... well done, my friend... cheers... Gary...

Gary, thank you. It scared me, if I'm honest. But I sorted it out and I'm home, where I belong.

Sometimes the heart gets it wrong and we're lucky when our head does. Every line in this poem, spoke convincingly of the longing, uncertainty and temptation. You sir, are mighty talented.

Thanks for sharing Tim.

Aw thank so much Defiance. I appreciate it. I'm glad I sorted it out. Appreciate your comments and time.

You truly are a gifted story teller. It doesn't matter if the tale is short or long, you always manage to convey so much. Your words make me stop and think about what is being said.

It's a beautiful poem, Tim. It touches on the beauty that just because it's 'virtual,' that doesn't mean it's not as real as anything else. I love that aspect; it's something I can relate to very personally.

Thank you…for posting it…

I like this. Poetry doesn't always connect with me, but this piece does. My throat caught and I understood. Thank you.

Hi Parker, thanks for reading it. I never thought much of poetry either if I'm honest. But it seems to be working for me on some level right now. I appreciate you visiting and commenting.
