I’ve made mistakes and

And I thought friends but

I’ve never been good at life

We all have pain and shit that hurts

Especially at this time of year

But why is your pain more important

Than his or hers or theirs or mine?

No one talks to you, no one cares

But did you reach out? Oh no!

Well do what the rest of us do my friend

Swallow it down and deal.

That’s right. You swallow it down

And deal.

You all chat about your teenage years

And the glorious memories you have

Do you think about people like me when you do?

Hell no, and I don’t expect you to

It’s all about your travels and concerts

Stuff I never had a chance to do

Do I run away… never speak to you again?

NO… I swallow the load… all of it

I swallow it down and deal.

Well I’m used to swallowing

Time after time

And a little bit more won’t hurt

I know who my friends are

There may not be many left here

So go ahead and leave me behind

Cut me out of your life go ahead

I’ll do what I have always done
