Noah's New Plan - 12. Chapter 12

“Here comes your boyfriend.”

On hearing Leslie’s sing-songy voice, Noah didn’t even look up from the stack of books. “I don’t have a boyfriend,” he replied automatically.

He couldn’t help but turn and look, though. Eli had walked into the library’s front door. Wearing his security uniform and a dark pair of sunglasses, he strutted in like a badass. He looked damn good in that uniform, tight across his big chest and arms, snug in the crotch and ass. And Noah knew exactly what the man looked like underneath the uniform. All muscles and fur and tattoos.

He wasn’t expecting Eli to show up at his work though. Why was the man here? Did Eli think they were… boyfriends? And weren’t they way too old for that label?

The man was a distraction, that was all. Some rebound fun. Noah’s life was too messed up right now to have a boyfriend. He needed to make sure the man knew that.

“Hey, baby,” Eli whispered as he leaned over the counter. Grabbing Noah’s lanyard, he pulled the man closer. He puckered his lips, expecting a kiss.

“Uh…”

When Eli didn’t move, Noah gave Eli a quick peck on the lips. His face was hot as he pulled away and he knew he was blushing like a teenage virgin. He could hear the snickering of Leslie and Nicholas behind him and he resisted the urge to throw up.

Eli pulled his sunglasses off and stashed them in his shirt pocket. He had a big grin on his face.

“What are you doing here?” Noah asked.

“I’m on lunch and I just wanted to stop in and see my favorite librarian.”

“Your favorite, huh? You know other librarians?”

“Sure I do. Leslie over there. And Nicky.”

“That’s Nicholas, thank you very much,” the young man interjected.

Eli looked over Noah’s shoulder and raised an eyebrow at the clerk. “And that’s why you’re not my favorite.”

Noah couldn’t help but smile.

Turning back to Noah, Eli leaned in close. “So, you got time for a quickie?”

Noah’s brows shot up his forehead. “A what?”

“A quick bite to eat. But if you got something else in mind, I’m all in.” Eli wiggled his eyebrows.

Leslie stepped up and pushed Noah from behind the counter. “He’s got time. Go have fun.”

“Oh god, baby,” Eli rasped in Noah’s ear as he ground his body on top of the smaller man.

Noah let his head fall back against the seat and he let out a soft moan.

“Open the glove compartment and grab a rubber.”

“Eli, no.” Noah tried to sit up, to slide out from under Eli. “Not here.”

“Why not?”

Eli had taken Noah to lunch. After a quick bite, they drove back to the library. What started out as a simple kiss quickly escalated into a full on make-out session. Eli currently had Noah flat on his back on the bench seat of his pickup truck.

“Why not? Because we’re adults, not teenagers.”

“You make me feel like a teenager. Since I met you I’m so fucking horny all the time.”

“That doesn’t mean I’m going to let you take me for the first time in the front seat of a pickup truck.”

“You’re right. My only excuse is when I’m around you, all my blood leaves my brain to go south. Our first time will be special.”

Eli and Noah sat up.

“Look, Eli…”

Shit. Was he about to be dumped?

“You’re a great guy…”

Damn!

“You know I just got out of a twenty-year relationship. I want to keep seeing you, but can we just keep it casual?”

Eli frowned. “What do you mean casual? Like no strings fucking? Fucking other people?”

“Well, that’s not exactly how I’d put it.”

“I’m not interesting in seeing other people, Noah. If you want to see other people… I can’t.”

“I can’t be in a relationship right now, Eli. My life is complicated.”

Eli reached out and took Noah’s hand. “All I know is this, what we have, is good. There’s nothing complicated about it, unless you make try to make it complicated.”

“I’m not trying to make things complicated. Things just are. I have Derek. I have find an apartment. I have to move. It’s not that I don’t want to see you…”

“How about this? I’ll try not to come on so strong. But I really want to keep seeing you. Just you. No one else.”

Noah nodded. “Okay. So… Maybe on your next night off we could go out on a date?”

“I’d love that. How about this Sunday?”

“Sunday is good.”

* * * *

Noah spent the evening going to apartment listings online. He had narrowed his choices down and just needed to take a look at them in person to make a final decision.

When his cell phone vibrated, he reached over and picked it up. He had received a text message from Eli.

What’s up? Thinking about you. But just casually

Noah laughed. Looking at apartments

Cool. Don’t forget about our date Sunday

I won’t

Here’s a little something to jog your memory so you know what you’re getting

After a moment, Noah received a picture from Eli. Eli had posed shirtless for the selfie, a full body shot, showing his beefy chest and hard belly in all its hirsute glory. He held his tatted arm up in a bodybuilder pose, flexing it to make the bicep bulge. Speaking of bulge, the sweat shorts Eli wore were tight across the groin, outlining the distinct shape of his flaccid penis.

You are so bad!

Yes I am, but I know how to please my boy ;)

Noah was no boy, but he had to admit to himself that yes, Eli definitely knew how to please him.
