If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?  Pilgrims.  No? Bad dad joke? I thought it was hilarious.  A big thank you to the anonymous members of our community that BOMBARDED me with questions. Holy smokes... My inbox went from 29% full to 36%. Y'all are insane, and I love it. I have a pile of questions and responses to last me until October-ish. Maybe December. Regardless, I appreciate the site's involvement.  Let's get down to business. Now, it may seem

April CSR Feature: A Love to Last by Vanalas

For me, April feels like it stretches on forever. So I picked a slightly longer story, and the title matches that feeling. Enjoy this month's selection and don't forget to come back and share your thoughts on the discussion day!  A Love to Last @vanalas Length: 120,112  Description: Ben and Jim are half-brothers and sons of self-made billionaire Jerome Henandez. The Henandez sons are handsome, charming and intelligent, groomed to lead and head the multi-million empire set up

I know entries are making their way to out super duper Anthology Proof Team and then when everything is looked over and ready to go, Val will turn on the power   Now that is is April 2, did any one get April Fooled?  I worked

March CSR Discussion Day: This Strange World Needs a Kicking by Laura S. Fox

Okay, even if you're not a fan of anime or Freaky Friday, or if you're new to Laura S. Fox's writing... I hope you took a chance and read this month's featured selection! It was fun, right? Share your thoughts in the comments below, but first! Of course, she did an interview for me.   Chocolate or Vanilla? What’s vanilla? Death by chocolate all the way. What do you like to do when you’re not writing? I read a lot. I read extensively, fiction, non-fiction, literary works, mys

Whoa, Nelly. I'm wiped out   I may or may not have been, what the hell there is cameras in every place now adays, at a bar celebrating the little leprechauns among us. Yes, I'm talking about our Irish friends. But then again, the rugby playing guy I met last night was not little nor would I call him a leprechaun   Then tonight it was my lil' sisters 50th bday. She is the last of us to hit 50, so the only thing we kids have to look forward to now is reaching 65 so we can get our Seniors

WAKE UP!!! YOU ARE LATE!!! Okay, that is kind of a North American comment but bear 🐻 with me  (I know I spelled that wrong  ) And if you are a bear, no hate mail please   So before I started this blog I went back and read over all the great suggestions that you all came up with last week  . I'm going to toss 3 ideas all into this blog and then see how they go, and tell me what you think. First would be, what is your favourite story that you read this week as suggested by @ast

March CSR Feature: This Strange World Needs a Kicking by Laura S. Fox

March is a month for magic... of a sort. C'mon, any month where there's a holiday that features gold at the end of a rainbow has to be magic, right?! And this story has magic... of a sort. It certainly made me laugh, and I could use some of that. What about you? It's way longer than normal, but it's a recent-ish finish in the last year and it does tend to suck you right in. I hope you will enjoy Laura's story and come back to share your thoughts at the end of the month!  This Strange World

Weekly Wrap Up (Feb. 26 - Mar. 4)

I am always on the lookout for how to do the Weekly Wrap Up differently. Besides having someone else do it  is there any ideas or suggestions on a different format, layout, etc? I'm curious what the 10's of you want to see . I think I will do something that I haven't done before. I've totally mixed up the blog before. How about this time I do one completely in reverse  (except the Premium Story which is new this week  ) Sure, why not. Here is the look at the past weeks postings on

March. March! March!!! I doubt I'll be kicking off the month of March for GA like this any time soon, so let's do it in a fun and exciting way. I didn't have any questions via PM, so I had to put my workboots on and find some content. Fortunately, I didn't have to look far. With a slightly different format, I asked some wonderful questions for one of the site's exciting authors. This guy has one of my favorite stories of all time, and I revisit it frequently. Asking these questions brought much

February CSR Discussion Day: Crisscross Moon by Rich Eisbrouch

Did you ever think you so strongly did something, you didn't even worry about it? Well, I've been doing the CSR blogs for over 10 years (Yes, I checked, they started in Jan. 2013!) and was sure I'd sent Rich his interview for Crisscross Moon. I did not. Sorry again, Rich!! If he gets his (very late) interview back to me, I'll add it here, but for now I wanted to feature the thoughts of some readers who enjoyed his story so you can also share yours below! Plus a graphic because that's also what I

Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. Depending on where in the day you are when you read this. 🕰️ I looks like our shortest month of the year is almost over. Can I tell a joke that hopefully everyone sees the humour of it and don't fill up my inbox with hate mail Actually it was told to me by a friend in the field, so to speak   So what month of the year do farmers complain the least amount about the weather?   Okay, settle down out there  Would that fit into the category

February Signature Author Excerpt: So Weeps the Willow by Cole Matthews

Did you catch Monday's feature of Cole Matthew's story So Weep's the Willow? If you've ever indulged... ahem... a little too much, you might identify with the feelings at the start of this excerpt. Now the hows and whys the character makes the choices that go on in the story? Maybe, or maybe not, but that's the beauty of getting to follow along with another's story, right? Enjoy!!  Want to read more? Click here

I went another route, tugging at the heart strings again with this read. Plus the visual was just too good to pass up! Weekly Wrap Up (Feb. 12 - Feb. 18)

Ooops, I did it again Up here in the frozen Great White North some people decided years ago that the time between New Years Day and Good Friday/Easter Sunday was tooooooo long of a break without a day off from work  I know, you all are thinking did you damn Canadians create another holiday in February? If you are thinking that, you are correct. The day falls on President's day in the US of A, but most provinces call it Family Day . So the 3rd Monday of the month is a day off for

February CSR Feature: CrissCross Moon by RichEisbrouch

I know I often theme stories based on the month, and February is love, love, love, and romance, romance, romance. Sorry, folks, life is just too crazy for me right now. (Don't worry, those who know my hubby from the past--*snorts* that was an adventure of a membership--he's still very much my hubby) But I wanted to go for something a little more... more. Now, there's still romance in the sub-genres, but also adventure, comedy modern, and light mystery!  Crisscross Moon by @RichEisbrouc

Ask An Author 3.0 #25

I hope everyone likes contagious things, because I got a smile on my face. While I'm comfortable with my "resting retail" face, I figured I could put on a genuine one for today's sake. This month's edition of Ask An Author features one of GA's favorite authors, and is easily one of the kindest people on the site. Honestly, I've never seen the guy in any sort of negative mood. If I'm being even more honest, I firmly believe he's an actual horse that has learned to write stories on a comically lar

Share your thoughts in the comments below, but please enjoy this interview (long delayed!) with Georgie first!   Q: Do you eat your fruits and vegetables? A: Vegetables regularly, mostly every day. Fruits is not my thing or I don’t take the time for it. So it is a banana so every now and then on an incidental basis. Q: Are you a person who m
