Weekly Wrap Up (Mar 20 - Mar 26)

HAPPY EASTER!   I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. For those celebrating Easter, what are your plans for today? I'm hoping to go fishing for the first time this year! The Weekly Wrap Ups are a great time to take a look back and see what you may have missed this week in the GA New's Blog. We also tend to throw in a few reminders here and there. This reminder is that the CSR Discussion Day for Renee Stevens' (hehe, that's me) short stories will happen tomorrow, March 28th! Hope to see

Weekly Wrap Up (Jun. 7 - Jun. 13)

Another week, and another week of nice weather. I guess some of our US of A neighbours had a bit of extreme weather, so hoping you all are okay  Tonight, I actually sat at my computer and watched 3 completely separate thunderstorms move through the city. Great lightening shows, and thunder that shook the stuff in my place. Won't catch me going outside in anything like that again Oops, let me retract that! Watching the 11:30 local news and our major freeway going through the middle of the c

Weekly Wrap Up (Aug 12 - Aug 18)

Well hello everyone! Happy Sunday I hope for you all. I was shocked to hear that the schools in some parts of the US are back in already. What about your neck of the woods, what is the school year like? I imagine down under and elsewhere it is probably ramping up for summer holidays soon. I think it is interesting when you read a story from another country than your own, as I actually learn more about that country in a way that is never taught in school.   Oh, I'm here to do the weekly

It's not me, I'm in disguise! 🥸 🤡 😜 In the absence of your usual wrapper, you get me... sorry, I'm simply not nearly as entertaining. Well, unless you watch me stumble around the classroom trying to to kill myself on all the student's things strewn about. That's hilarious. 😒 Last weekend Wildone said he was older than dirt and this week I'm a clown in disguise. I certainly entertain the students enough. Fortunately, we have one more day of weekend to enjoy. Why don't we take a look at what was s

Before we review the past week, I want to point out that the deadline for the Poetry Anthology is just NINE days away. If you are planning on submitting a poem (and I hope you do), it needs to be sent Lugh by April 17.   Our week started as always with a Hosted Author review - and this week, Roan wrote a review of Renee Stevens' Eternity. This is a story that I loved when I first read, and Roan's review is a great reminder of what a gem Eternity is.   Our tips this week were both very usefu

How was your Valentines Day?  I'll be honest, I didn't even know it really happened  The advertising and hoopla seemed to be almost non existent this year, well to me it was. I did hear one couple I know went out for dinner yet still had over a two hour wait! Oh well, for those dead set Valentiners if you missed it I'm sure it will be back next year bigger and better. I know that all over the world there is different and crippling weather all the time. I would be remiss if I do not mention

How's your week been? Mine personally has been fantastic (check the little personal blog entry at the end if you're interested)   In Blog-land, life has been good as well. We started the week with a look at Hosted Author Bill W's The Castaway Hotel - Grand Reopening 1. Andy021278 did a great review, in part because of how much he grew to love the story.   On Tuesday, we had a highlight about Premium Membership, what it is, why it exists and the benefits of being a Premium Member. The leaves are turning and falling in my neck of the woods. Have they started where you are, or are the leaves just starting to come out as you inch you way towards summer?
