I surprise myself sometimes

I'm being remarkably stupid today. It amazes me how often this happens, actually. I'm comfortably in the high nineties when it comes to measurable intelligence, and I was nearly always in the top third of any class when I was in college (only four exceptions, and in two of them I was near the top when it came to actually understanding the material, despite my laziness when it came to doing the work, which drove my instructors to distraction). So I shouldn't be stupid, or at least not illogical.

OK. so i know that i got out of class at noon today and should have came straight home to study for my final which i have in 9 hrs, but acting like a fool in DC seemed like so much more fun at the time. Survivor Guilt?

Regaining Focus

I am going to be disappearing for a while. Worry not for I am still going to be writing. I am not blocked. In fact, I am going to remove some distractions for a while so I can focus almost exclusively on my writing and school work. It may be a few days. It may be a week or a month, but I need to focus while my muse is hot.   Added: On second thought, I will just not be on quite as much. I would miss everyone too much.

No clean silverwear

I get the feeling I'm going to hear a lot of yelling when my dad and stepmom get home. I may or may not have opened the drawer to get a spoon and accidentaly pulled the whole drawer out. The plague.

I was sick a couple weeks ago, and just when I was getting better, I caught another bug. Only thing is, this one is far worse. I haven't been to work for my last two shifts, and I've been stuck in bed since Wednesday. I never miss work. So I went out tonight with a few friends and I was on the dance floor dancing when I noticed this guy leering at me. So I just kinda pretended not to notice and went on about my business. Not depressed

I'm trying very hard to get a handle on not being depressed. It's so weird! I'm just, simply, not at all, depressed. Period!   And, I think I've got too much extra energy. I'm not as sleepy. I'm drowsy, but not sleepy. I almost have to force myself to go to sleep.   Am I cured?   Don't know because I could drop into a low, unless the medicine is stopping me. Maybe this is a high on citalopram. I know what a high on buproprion feels like, so maybe this is just what I get on citalopram.

New laptop

Eh why not...

Looking for fun

First off, I am not depressed anymore. As of Monday morning, when I woke up not depressed, I have not slid back into a down cycle. I'm not particularly happy, though. I was happy earlier in the week, but I could be happy if I wasn't so drowsy.   I am sleepy or drowsy most of the time. I sleep for hours, get up, eat, go back to bed and sleep for a few hours more. My counselor and GP think it might be the citalopram causing this extreme drowsiness. The GP cut my prescription back to the standard

Coping without smokes

Sometimes it is difficult to cope with life. It used to be that I could just smoke a cigarette, and I would be calm. Now, I can no longer do that, because I quit smoking. Does anyone have any suggestions about coping with stress in a healthier way? :wacko:
