Dog Tired Commuter

I spent the last couple of weeks commuting back and forth to Gulfport. I was doing a job overseeing the installation of a business network. Actually- the business was rebuilt after a certain be-yach of a hurricane blew most of it to Wiggins. "Beautiful" - pardon the narcissism

Everyday is so Wonderful   I like a lot of songs. Another Friday gone but no hangover. Yippee. Not that there wasn't drinking. We actually got started around 5 pm, but mostly stayed away from anything other than beer, so no one really ended up in ridiculously bad shape. What makes me proud

Well, 9/11 came and went and there were all kinds of shows on TV about that day, and even one about the events leading up to it. I guess to me 9/11 represents something to be proud of. On that day when almost 3000 people lost their lives in the worst attack on our soil, we came together as a nation and for a little while, we weren't democrats and republicans. We were Americans. First day at work

Well, today was my first day at my new job. The commute is about an hour each way, which really sucks, but I only have to tough it out for a month or two until I can get my own place. That should cut the commute down to 20-30 minutes. The work is actually quite complicated and there's tons of stuff to remember, a complex computer system and series of databases to learn, etc. I'm very familiar with the translation industry and linguistics (which is important for quality control and just knowing h

Hangover, anyone?

Sorting it out

Ok, so the first week of school is over and shockingly enough, I haven't got any major catastophic events to write about. The work seems pretty simple (so far) and it's kinda nice not to be at the bottom of the food chain anymore. I resigned

I got a job! Woo-hoo!

Took more pics of Little Girl and her new babies. She is a very good mama and tends to lie on top of them when anyone wants to look at them Of course, they don't really like that very much.
