Went to the Fonda Fair tonight. They had one normal demolition derby and one farm combine demolition derby. This is the first year they had one of those and it didn't quite go as planned. Well, I started a job Monday. No way I could possibly live on unemployment and I haven't even gotten a call in response to any resumes I have sent. So when you can't seem to get a job in your field, you have to take what you can get. So I am doing something that doesn't use any part of my brain at all. I am the penguin queen!

(I am, Joe made it so. )   Right, so just a little update for anyone who cares. I'm still totally swamped but I think I'm calming down a bit. And sorry Michael, but I haven't met a gay guy (that I know of) yet. I'm still sort of getting used to this whole being able to look straight out over the horizon thing. I can't tell you how weird it is to not have mountains. But all the water is awesome, and it's been like 10 degrees cooler here than in WV, and we all know how happy that makes me.

Congratulations Columbus, GA!

The final game was today, and Team USA (from Columbus, GA) defeated the team from Kawaguchi, Japan, with a final score of 2-1. The hazards of sobreity

Coming up Oct. 1st, I'll have been clean and sober for two years.   At first it was really hard passing up the sleezy bars and liquor stores. I really missed going to meet dangerous characters in dangerous allies to buy weed.   Being drunk and stoned was for a while.. liberating. I do something stupid my friends would laugh it off. ARGGHH!

Well, it's only Wednesday and I feel like I've been here for about a month. This is not due to me becoming used to the place quickly, but to the unbelievable, massive, ridiculous amounts of work I've had to do.
