    Summer Resolutions, Anyone?

    By Aditus

This year I’m going to clear out the shed. I’ll try this long hike someone recommended. I won’t sleep in every day.  I’ll eat healthy, all these yummy vegetables and fruit that are available now. I will finish the story that has been on hold for so long. Summer break starts on Monday, and I have a very long list. What about you? Maybe try to write a prompt story?   PT Prompt #352   Dale bought an ice cream maker, but vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry are just about that

I kinda like this quick style

So we'll try it again... although maybe it's cause I am SO damn sick I have no patience to concentrate on anything except stopping my head from exploding   Called the DMV  and it seems that even though they tell us to wait 6 weeks before even attempting to talk to a human, it seems they have known since week 2 that I never got my new liscence and so now I have an appointment there today at 3:45 to tell them to resend it to me since I never got it, although they already f**king know tha

still thinking of one...

Quick style blogging today   I'm sick   I just got a flat tire on the freeway on my way home from taking Rich to work at 8 am in my pajamas with both kids in the car and Tony came to rescue me   I have to go get a new tire now... adds that to huge and still growing list of crap to get done today    Also have to call the DMV to find out why I STILL don't have my new drivers lisence after I renewed it online over 6 weeks ago   My son starts Kindergarten on Wednesday and we H

Buried.....

Well, I made the mistake this morning of sending chapter one to Nifty and I got a reply from them saying that they added it to the No Sex section of the site.....I guess that's kinda where it belongs, but it kinda ticks me off because no one goes to that part...it's the same place they buried Obligation To Myself, and I was a little pissed about that too.....   I wrote a new poem today where I think I was finally able to come to terms with something thats had me depressed since I was a little

The Captain & The Kid

Elton John's new album, "The Captain & The Kid," is coming out in September, and the first single, "The Bridge," is now available on EltonJohn.com -- you have to be a member of the official fanclub to go to that part of the site, though. It's an interesting choice for a single, since the track is only Elton's vocals and piano, no other instrumentation. It's a beautiful song, with very touching lyrics, but not very commercial. The whole album is a concept album, the sequel to his 1975 "Captai

Luau

Aloha!...lol......tomorrow Im going to a Luau at Fort Story and I get the feeling it's gonna be awesome. Im a really hyped mood about it. Also, I finished My Jump Off for anyone who didn't know.....I posted the last chapter yesterday, then I posted chapter two of Bodega Bay this afternoon. I'm still working on chapter 31 of What's The Difference because I got a little sidetracked by My Jump Off and Bodega Bay. I was so excited about finally finishing a story that I my mind started to work a mill

"This Is Love"

No I'm not in love myself, but the guys in this video are:   This Is Love by Jason and Demarco   Check it out, I'm not sure how long that link will work though, right now they have the # 1 video there, but I'm guessing that changes daily or weekly, but you should still be able to find them in the list for a week or so I would think.   I guess as far as love songs go it's fairly generic, but the video is so cute and sweet! It made me giggle in delight several times lol. It's also cool bec

Return to Eden

So I got back late yesterday from my trip to visit my family and attend my friend's graduation party. Before I get down to other stuff here's an amusing highlight. I passed this sign on the way that was advertizing a restaurant two hundred and ninety-two miles away! As well as listing a few of the menu highlights they also raved in large print about their "Fabulous Restrooms". It's like, "well lets go there! I know it's like four and a half hours away and we're all hungry and we have to pee

Is America Punch Drunk?

Is America Punch-Drunk?   American history is lousy with them. The twentieth century started with one. World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the 50 year Cold War, the Gulf War, Somalia, a hundred other conflicts that only historians remember and finally rounding out the nineties, we just couldn

my day in the "big city"

Okay, so first of all, thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday. And thanks again for the card, Joe. You have terrible handwriting.   I went out with my friend today and had an insane time. We went to Charleston, which for those of you who never learned your geography is the state capital. It's the biggest city in the state, which isn't saying much as it has a population of like 50,000, and it's pretty much where you have to go if you wanna make a day of it. So anyway, we went to the m

It's on like that!

Ok, so I'm in an extra good mood right now.....after a long hard struggle, I finally got myself hosted at another site...... RCWP. The webmistress, Mary, is a total sweetheart, and she's been doing so much to make sure I have a good page at her site. There are so many great authors there, and trust me, I can tell you from personal experience that it's a hard site to get hosted at. She does a great job there, and I'm proud that my stories are going to be read at that site. She hooked me up with

Gay Marriage... switching gears

Ok, so I'm going off topic and not talking about Michael this blog. I know!   This was posted on Comicality's seperate forums, but I thought some people here would like it too. hug me baby!

Rich gives REALLY great hugs! Just thought you might all like to know that... I think it must have something to do with how much bigger he is than me and how I can just melt and hide and be totally consumed by him... sigh...   I am actually gonna write today! I promised myself... so this is gonna be short, kinda like me... well actually, just like me   So after Davey posted that piece he found about the twin flames I sat in my car at work and wrote him a sappy message... but it really i

Two Revolutionary Programs

I recently got hold of two programs that I love dearly: Mathematica and Delphi 2006.   Niether are cheap- both run about $100 if you are a student or teacher. If not, they'll run 10 times that.   Delphi 2006 is the latest incarnation of Borlands Object Pascal and C++. It is a industrial strength programming environment with debugger and lots of bells & whistles. It produces lightning fast executable code. While I am not the worlds greatest C++ programmer, I am a competent Pascal programm

A Decision

A year and 9 months ago I took him home. He cried the whole way home while his sister lay next to him peacefully resting. Once I'd gotten them inside and let them out of their box he promptly went and hid behind the washer and I barely saw him for the next week. Meanwhile his sister busied herself exploring their new home and encouraging him to come out and join us.   Eventually Timmy settled settled down and while he was still nervous around people he was mostly sane. He'd often get himse

Feeling a lot better

Ok, I have a little confession to make..........     I've been depressed ever since we got home from California. I know what it has to do with, and it's really silly, but it still has me feeling bad.   For as long as I can remember, we've always gone to the cross at the spot where my mom died and took flowers. When we lived in Cali we did it a lot, and every time we've gone back we've done it too. Well, the last time we went back was for my big papu's memorial, and we didn't go because we

a bit of contemplation

Okay, I'm gonna talk about something serious for once. My mom has a relative who is only expected to live a few more days. I don't really know her, and I'm not even sure how we're related, but the whole situation is really bothering me for a reason that I think makes for a good discussion. The relative has pretty much given up at this point, and is refusing to eat or take medication, because she's ready to get to the "other side" and see her husband. Now, I don't believe in an other side, and I

ESA's Black hole hunt

Where are the supermassive black holes hiding?   26 July 2006 ESA Press Release Source Link     This artist's impression shows the thick dust torus that astronomers believe surrounds many supermassive black holes and their accretion discs. When the torus is seen edge-on as in this case, much of the light emitted by the accretion disc is blocked, creating a "hidden" black hole.   However, the sharp gamma-ray and X-ray eyes of Integral can peer through the thick dust and identify the bl

Is it finally my turn?

This has been quite an interesting week. Unfortunately, no requests for interviews yet, although I have gotten a couple minor nibbles. I'll have to wait and see if any of those pan out. In better news, the other day, one of my high school classmates (who I haven't talked to in about 10 years) called, looking for my parents, to try to find out my current address so they could send me info on our 10 year H.S. reunion, which is coming up this fall. My parents weren't home, though, so she got me ...

PINK lemonade

So yeah... did you know that what they put into the pink lemonade to make it pink is actually grape juice? I find this funny cause I LOVE pink lemonade and I really don't like grape juice at all... weird huh?   So, I can't go into details here... so don't even ask... but... I LOVE Rich! I mean, I know you already knew that... and so did I for that matter... but he did something so sweet for me and it has shown me something and made me smile like crazy! So, thanks babe! I love you!   So it

Waiting

Well, today is Mark's surgery. He went in the hospital at 7 am and was scheduled to be the surgeon's second operation. Second is good. I figure the surgeon will be all warmed up from his first op and not yet tired from operating all day. So second is good.   Mark showed me some things on his surgery and told me some things. Since he has recently had menengitis, he is at a higher risk for increased cranial pressure. So when he comes out of surgery they will fix it so he can't move his h
