December & January CSR: Holiday Stories!

The CSR for the last 2 months were completely different from our usual format. Usually we feature a story, do an interview with the author, etc... but we had a few holiday blogs planned on the Mondays the CSR usually happens so we went with holiday stories--and we have a lot on GA! Did you read one over the last 2 months you loved? A feel-good holiday slice of sweetness? Or a bittersweet moment that resonated with you? Maybe it a new story released by the author this year or perhaps one of the flash fiction stories from the White Elephant Gift Prompt Game?  Or an older story that caught your eye, perhaps from one of the many holiday-themed anthologies? Share your thoughts on a story in the comments below!

I would recommend The Gift of Absolution. A deeply powerful story by @MacGreg. Not your typical Christmas fare, but moving and thoughtful. Forgiveness goes a long way. This story can be found in this year’s White Elephant prompts.

There’s already mention of favourites of mine.  So... what if you want something totally different and unexpected? There’s a story for you too, thanks to @wildone  Meeting Santa. I promise, you will feel all the emotions... 😏

Three somewhat random selections from me too. One, I've always the loved originality and aplomb of @Mikiesboy's Christmas entry to the Secret Santa contest.The Letter: A Christmas Tale is a wonderful romance. 

 

@Puppilull's contribution to the same contest was a stunner. It's a romance with a twist, and a hint of desert sand. Please read Habibi if you haven't already. 

 

And thirdly, @Cole Matthewswrote one that sticks with me because it's so beautifully tender. From Advent Calendar least year, be sure to check out Eternal Flame. 

 

There are many more wonderful Christmas tales on GA, but I just limited myself to three. Happy reading!

My choices are @AC Benus. His Famous Barr series is second to none. Years of research and love poured into those beautiful stories. 

This is the first one:
