Weekly Wrap Up (Apr. 5 - Apr. 11)

Now that the first week of the Poetry Anthology is out, are you a poet and didn't know it  ?

:gikkle:

After I do this, I shall retire to the bedoire and check out some poetry  Even though I don't read a lot, I do like to dabble my reading into the Poets, seasoned and new here at GA.

There was something that I wanted to discuss and you are free to pick any of the four. With the Artemis trip to go around the moon now over and they splashed down in the Pacific off of San Diego, I want to know which of the 4 you find the cutest :P There is some good looking men, and woman, although she did have Medusa hair when she was in weightless space

So here is the line up :)

1. Commander Reid Wiseman - USA
2. Pilot Victor Glover - USA
3. Mission Specialist Christa Koch - USA
4. Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen - Canada

Just to make things a bit different this week :D.

When we have an Anthology launched we tend to have a shorter week here at the GA News Blog  Now lets see:

Monday, it was an exciting day for the month of April :) Cia introduced us to our CSR for the month:

Tuesday, the big guy brought us another genre update. Check it out:

The rest of the week was all about our Poets:

Now what about the Words of the Day? Don't worry, they all are here :):

flicker, heavy, softened, unapologetic, steadfast, kinship, empowered

Out of the four of the Artemis crew, I'd have to say that Reid Wiseman is more my type.  He can splash down here anytime he wants.

I think I'll have 1 and 4 splashing down.

Honestly? I think Reid and Jeremy are capable of executing a perfect liftoff.

Nothing like a bit of Canadian giving liftoff and splashdown.

I could easily fantasize over each of the men...or all together!

Thanks for the update, I am going to try and work my way through the poetry today and tomorrow.  Looking forward to seeing how everyone did and what they came up with.

Everyone is on here mooning over astronauts and I'm over here wondering if it's possible to have sex in space.  Has anyone tried?

There are rumors that it has happened, but I don't know of any verified evidence of such.  Various authors have had theories as to how it would be done, from A. Bertram Chandler to Larry Niven to Isaac Asimov and probably many others.  Asimov, in one of his short stories, says sex on the moon would be challenging with Earth muscles but Luna (the moon) gravity.  As I recall, Niven hypothesized a net surrounding the two partners and holding them together so thrusting motions would not push them apart.  It makes for fascinating speculation.

It might get a little messy with all of those fluids, from both partners, floating around in a gravity-free environment.

True.

Ahem.

*steps on soap box*

"Why are we objectifying people's looks? Isn't it enough that they went around the moon? They are highly trained, highly disciplined men and also women who have done something not very many people have accomplished. We should be heralding these humans as heroes, not some weird space fetish."

*steps down off soap box*

What do you really think?

"None of them are that attractive at all, and the thought of them boning in space kind of makes me nauseous."

So the whole soapbox statement was just to be contrarian?

"Pretty much."
