Sorry about the two year old, I never understand taking a child that young on a plane.

No, no, no, Lee. A suitcase could easily be damaged.  Better in a deluxe dog crate which has feeder and water tubes. 🤭

Finish School on Friday, for a week off (School Half Term).

10 weeks today, we fly to Australia for a month's holiday.

Welcome back.  I was also in Utah last week, and while I did see some cuties at some of that national parks, I don't know if they were cute Mormon boys or just cute tourists like me.

That's a ridiculous take.  Children need to travel too.  My mom had to fly when my sister was a baby and I was young.  We were moving from South Carolina to Indiana.   My dad had gone up with the only car and moving vans because he had to report to work while she finalized the details of the move.  Having a child on a plane is inconvenient,  but what part of air travel isn't?

Good for you. I was in Australia just the once and after the second day in Sydney I spent the next four days in bed with food poisoning. Two days later I was in Melbourne. Luckily, Melbourne turned out to be a safe haven from food issues even if the city turned out to be a bit boring for me.

To answer your question about next weekend's weather forecast for where we live. here is the forecast for my part of Georgia for what will be our Memorial Day weekend.  

In the 80s from Thursday the 21st to end of the month.  There will be a possibility of rain of the 21st, rain from the 22nd to the 26th, and then the possibility of rain from the 27th to the 29th.  Looks like no cookouts, or if you do, I hope the grill has a cover and you can get into the house quickly.

Three of my own, one step-son. All grown. None flew while they were young enough to fit in a suitcase or pet carrier. But, no, I wouldn’t do that. But if I had a screaming two-year-old in front of me, I would have wished their parents did.

@wildone I think if I too also went quiet around the same time, people would start worrying about you. Thinking I finally made that 'road trip,' up to see you after one of your little attempts at being cheeky.  

I can imagine the screaming tot, but that poor dear had its whole schedule upended and it was too young to reconcile that. Poor dear. That is one of the things you have to contend with whilst traveling with wee little ones. 

I will be demanding all the more juicy details from your trip. There is no way on this earth that you behaved. It would be a shock to your system. 

Lastly, this man also didn't remind me of his trip. So I spent those days thinking someone got to him before I did. I was worried. He knows I cannot remember dates worth a damn. He's had these conversations with me, I forget holidays. I've walked my happy ass into work on holidays before... but does he remind me, no. He up and disappears. Rude behavior.

@Krista We have 2 flights, the 1st one is 14hrs Manchester to Hong Kong , 2nd one is 8hr Hong Kong to Australia. We do have a break of 5hrs between flights.

Here in the center of the universe, Central Massachusetts, the long-range forecast has both Saturday and Sunday as rainy days, with clearing on Monday...followed by more rain on Tuesday and Wednesday....Sheesh....

I've been restoring a pre-WW2 car as a hobby, I call it my fundsarelow project. It has taken the better part of fifteen years, as I worked on it when the funds weren't low. Finally, it is registered, insured, and has license plates. I had plans to use it over the holiday weekend and had been asked to drive it in our small-town Memorial Day parade, but if it is raining...all bets are off...fingers crossed. We have a few elderly veterans who can no longer walk, and I am praying I can use the car; if not, then my daily driver.
