I have to say I skipped over the sex scenes. I wanted to know where the plot was going, and what was happening with Dennis, and I'm just scrolling down like "stop having sex, already!" And I have a love/hate thing with cliffhangers, but I have to admit that was a good one. Val

My s/o came running upstairs to see what was the matter. He is not happy to find out why I screamed. That will cost me a digital camera.....oh well. Adam's showing signs of breaking with his family's beliefs. Dennis admits guilt. But to what extent? Paul and Dennis talk? I would love to know what they talk about. I was hoping that Nicky would re-enter the story. I just wish that it had been under friendlier terms. I wonder why he is reacting this way now? His reaction was different when he saw Owen at the drive-in. I guess we will know in Chapter 29! A song comes to mind: Anticipation

Here are two things I'm hoping for: 1) Nicky punched Owen in the tummy because he's pissed off that Owen left him. I'm hoping that Nicky was just being overly emotional in that straight guy kinda way and that punch was full of affection. 2) Dennis saying he was guilty. I'm thinking that he was going to say he was gay, but changed it to guilty instead (still too tough for Dennis to admit he's gay). And just an observation... What's up with Reilly's dad? He seems to know more about Owen then we have been told so far. My bet is that he is some doctor or counselor that Owen saw as he was recovering in the hospital. Owen doesn't remember him, but Paul does. So many goodies in this chapter I'm about to burst!!!!!!! Nicky, Nicky, Nicky!!!! It's got to be good news (At least I hope...despite the gut punch). Maybe you'll have to make them 4 times as long for us to notice j/k After a long saturday of working in the backyard and making dinner for the bf, this was a pleasant surprise! Conner Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Nicky's reaction is a big surprise given what Owen has told us about their relationship and the events surrounding Owen leaving home. Nicky somehow feels betrayed. My best guess would be that Nicky stood by Owen and took a lot of heat at school over his best friend being gay, maybe to the point of getting beaten up. Owen never got in touch with him and then avoided him at the drive-in. Some of the points raised by other members also come into play. Did Nicky find out about Owen's relationship with Dan and wonder why Owen never talked to him about that, particularly when Dan was killed? What, if anything, did Nicky know about Owen's dad putting him in the hospital? The Paul - Owen connection is an even bigger mystery. I have no clue as to what's happening there. By all means, Dom, crank the rest of TLW out. We're in the stretch. Hugs, Conner
