Just a quickie before bed. When you guys meet a potential love interest, what are your 'must have' you look for in this special person. Give me three (or more) of physical , personality traits, and life style choices (in no particular order) that you look for. Remember these are must haves. Try not to be vague. And no being 'I-am-not-that-picky.' Think of it as your perfect/unperfect match.

I think it's nice to have a general layout of what kind of person you definitely don't want to have, but if you're making a super long list and checking your list every time you're out soul searching... well A) You may never find someone who fits into your description, B ) Your list making may make you seem like a nit picky douche bag, C) If you do find someone who you really like who likes you back, they may have some of your "must haves" and thus there will be no point to making a detailed list in the first place : 0

Dude no I totally agree with you. You misunderstood my reason for this. The only reason I thought of this topic was a friend of mine was make a eHarmony profile and it was part of the interview questions. I just thought it would be fun to see everyone's answers. But yeah, you should never limit yourself to what you think might make your perfect match cuz' honestly, sometimes I feel like most people don't really even know what they really want. And sometimes when you find something you never thought of, it makes you rethink what that definition is. So no, you shouldn't be too 'picky.' When you set your standards too high, no one can't reach them. If you find some of the qualities in that person then great but having a few that don't match up, is what makes a great relationship. Otherwise it would just be to predictable and boring.

I'm not really picky.

 

As far as physical goes, I prefer someone who is of a smaller build then I am. And in decent shape. Other then that I'm open to anything pretty much.

 

Personality wise, I can deal with most things. Except attention whores or Type A's.

 

Lifestyle, eh. Someone who wants to go out and have fun in their younger years and party, but knows that when they are out of their 20s, its time to settle down. Also, alcohol is ok, but absolutely no drugs or smoking. Two things I absolutely can't stand.

 

Preferably someone who wants to live in the city, but again, thats flexible.

 

And oh yeah, someone who will allow me to have a man-cave in the house. *cough* Cammy!!! *cough* I've always wanted one of those.

I think there is a fine line between picky and simplicity and I think you like your guys more simple. There is elegance in simplicity! Great qualities though

There aren't major differences in my list's, well with the exception of physical attributes.
