Well in the US it was In the year 2525. By Zager and Evans. The Uk it was the Rolling Stones Honky Tonk Woman.

OMFG - bloody Rod Stewart "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy". If I was only born 2 hours later it would have been Boney M with "Mary's Boy Child".

 

The US chart is even worse - Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond "You Don't Bring Me Flowers".

To be honsent, this is so bad I have not heard it right thru to the end, but it fits the bill.
