So they have pictures of him entering France at Paris. They tracked him picking up a guy online and then meeting with him at a cafe in Paris.

 

So why haven't the arrested him

 

Hopefully the extradition laws are good between France and Canada. Although he will never get proper justice in Canada, at least he will be locked up for 25 years with no chance of parole

Probably very inapropriate, but a gay porn star in prison..that could be his definition of heaven.

 

There is something off when people are joking about a guy who tortured, performed sex acts on, and killed kittens, brutally tortured and murdered a guy, and has done god only knows what else. Just sayin'....

 

The sad thing is you can easily find pictures of the murder as well as easily come across the video of this guy being hacked to death on the internet. It took me all of about 30 seconds to find both.

Maybe I can explain this. For those who've read the story, your a little more attuned to it so you pick up on it quicker than someone else might.

 

I'll use myself as an example of what I mean. I drive a 2011 Ford Mustang. I've also been watching Adam-12 reruns on Antenna TV (ANTTV). In just about every episode, I see at least one Mustang in the show.

I won't lie part of me was afraid that a gay Asian targeting serial killer, who seeks dismemberment and necrophilia, was out there. I knew being gay was dangerous, but i don't think anyone thought it could be so bad.

 

This is not a bad reflection on gay guys, nor a sad reflection on Canadian mental health. It is simply a tragedy and i am glad he got caught, even though the French let him pass thru without incident.

I agree with you and wonder if this victim was his first, he sounds very much like a serial killer in the works, or just one that let his over-zealousness take over for him to film it! There may be more victims that are unknown, perhaps unsolved murders in Montreal, I'm sure the Police there are looking into it!

My deepest condolences to the victim's family and friends. I can only imagine how they felt when they heard of the grisly murder by a psychopath.

 

On a brighter note, congratulations to INTERPOL and the German police for so quickly arresting this lunatic. I'm guessing he will get a life sentence without chance of parole in permanent solitary confinement since Canada does not have the death penalty.

This sicko also spent most of his life learning how to reinvent himself and create alias and basically change who he was and his past within 3 weeks time. He even blogged on how to do this in that short of time.

 

He obviously slipped out of Canada before the arrest warrant was set up and also was able to gain access to France. The Paris airport video shows someone completely different looking than what most the media had shown. He then was able to elude the French police and somehow make it to Germany and onto Berlin.

 

There, ironically, sitting in an internet cafe spending a lot of time reading about himself (not surprising) he brought attention to himself where he was finally arrested without incident. He wanted the internet to make him famous, and it was the internet that brought him down.

 

On the positive side, yes, Canada is doing something.... He will be tried for first degree murder which carries a 25 year sentence with no chance of parole. Also, due to his heinous crimes the Crown will be applying for (and should easily get) a Dangerous Offender Status for him which will mean that he will never see the light of day.

 

Yes, capital punishment probably would be justified for his actions but at least he will never do them again.

 

On behalf of Canada Thank you to the French and Germans (and really, all the countries of Interpol) to do the leg work to bring him to justice

Since I'm participating in this forum, I can't help to feel if you want to debate the Death Penalty, there is the Soapbox for that. A passing mention of being in favour or against is okay, but if you want to plea you case, then definitely please do so in the Soapbox

I've been to Berlin and know the place a little, I doubt that he'd travel half way around the world to go to there (Unless he is so deluded to think the wall hasn't fallen yet). Though, the Chinese population has grown tremendously by what I heard and saw in the city, which is kind of creepy that a few months ago, a serial killer might have been staking out places where I had my trip. Also, it's such an American thing to be traveling by air in Europe, the HoF in Germany is far superior to the airlines like Lufthansa in my opinion, unless he was heading towards a foreign location outside the train network.
