Popular Post kbois Posted May 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted May 13, 2022 My Friday the 13th started out with the discovery that after getting to work I saw that I put eyeliner on only one eye. 🙄🤭 Also, my maintenance guy who is notorious for calling out (and he's been written up) called out again. He has 3 stand by excuses. His car. His mom. His toothache. He went with the toothache this time. I have a feeling this is going to be an intetesting day. Have a good one everyone! 1 6
Popular Post 1brokNangel Posted May 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted May 13, 2022 (edited) Knowing the possibilities of rejection of an organ that was transplanted in you, would you ask a family member for an organ ?? Edited May 14, 2022 by 1brokNangel 6

That's a hard one. There are so many variables that are involved with family dynamics. I would say that it depends on the relationship with the particular family member. I would be fine asking any of my immediate family, even though a few of them have become village idiots. My husband, however, would be hard pressed to ask one particular brother who we never want to see again. You would like to think that your family has your back, but in real life, that's not always the case. 6

Popular Post kbois Posted May 14, 2022 Popular Post Posted May 14, 2022 Update on Friday the 13th. It wasn’t horrendous, BUT, mid-morning my maintenance guy calls me over to the house that's being renovated so we can move in. Today two guys were going to start laying the floor in the kitchen. My foreman Bill got pulled from the job to do something the other manager just had to have done. So I get Andy and Carl. Carl is new. Andy has been around for a while. They notice the floor is wet. Come to find out when one of the other guys pulled the shower from the bathroom he hit the toilet breaking the wax seal. All that gross water in the pipes drained into the kitchen flooring. The base of the cabinets were wet, swollen in places. Wait... it gets better. They pulled the cabinets away from the wall and yup, you guessed it.... mold. So I specifically told Andy that I needed to get my boss's approval before doing anything. because if we needed to order new ones we could measure exactly how everything already was and order the same cabinets and mark the walls for placement. Andy heard "tear the cabinets apart" 🤦♀️. What the ever-loving fu...dge?? So... I had to order new base cabinets and call the fabricators to schedule them to come out and measure again once the cabinets are in. Needless to say... I asked my boss to have Andy taken off the project. I did have a good workout though! 1 5

I'm pretty sure my brothers have my back, my biggest worry is if a family member donates and my body rejects the organ I don't want them feeling guilty bc of it. 5

Usually organ donations require some mandatory counseling, if not, request it, should one of your brothers be a match and they agree. Those issues should be addressed before they become a problem. Good luck to you. 5

Lots to consider here. You've gotten lots of good advice and you're wise enough to take it. The gift of life is the ultimate thing we can do. Sign your donor cards. Talk to your families about your wishes. Of course, we don't want our loved ones to die, but if part of me can save another family some pain, well it's worth it. It's my last loving act in this world. @1brokNangel I wish you and your family strength and peace. 2 5

Not only is my donor card signed, it's also in my living will, and every member if my family is aware of my wishes. Don't know if my spare parts are worth anything any more with my health issues, but use what ever you can. Now, Does anyone here have an aardvark? Does anyone here have an aardvark? Everyone here has a right and left ear, But has anyone here have an aardvark? Edited May 14, 2022 by Kitt 6

This time ... one place has the pot but not the soil and the other has the soil but not the pot. On Amazon i can't find the soil, but they have other kinds i really don't want at a price i'm not prepared to pay. And pots on Amazon, i cannot just buy one.. i need to 4 or 6 or 3 of 3 different sizes to get the one i want. All at insane prices. Michael said there were a few pots at the mall but no soil. So i have ordered the soil and will walk to the mall to buy the pot. Yay online shopping 5
