 Thanks, Reader.  Yeah, that part with the boys ... i just found it very touching and brave. It was that part that made me post the article. The whole thing has been so sad to read about. It did no one any good, it just hurt people more.  

I made a batch of those veggie balls yesterday. You can freeze them. I, of course, had to not follow the recipe and put in a grated zucchini.. which made the batter wetter.. so i added a bit more flour and some ground oats. Then i left it to thicken up a bit. I added more seasoning too, since i added more things.  Long story short, i rolled them up and put them in the air fryer... put a little oil on them with a pastry brush and cooked them for 16 minutes.. after 8 minutes turned them over and left them for another 8 minutes.  

We eat them with some dipping sauce along with some salad for lunches.

Exactly.   These evil creatures just look at you and think you are easy game.  They are correct, of course.  The smaller one is the terrorist-in-chief. Butter wouldn’t melt etc. 

Good news, though, today.  Computer cable repaired after canine destruction.  Only 4€ and a competent electrician on hand!  And, more importantly, I’m finally COVID negative and can restart my hated immuno suppressant jabs. Although I should not complain: 100% covered by social security here in Spain. Sadly, “biologics” are v expensive but at least price worldwide is dropping from original 2,000$ per 10 ml. You can do the maths…. Now it’s 1,000€ here per month but free on health service.   My life has been transformed by them. Hopefully, I can now correct the uploading of a little story about living with a chronic illness for 49 years.  I’m a lucky guy.

Laugh for the day:

One of my brothers called me yesterday to chat. His granddaughter just turned 5. He was babysitting her when things got real quiet. Never a good sign. When he went to check on her, he discovered her finger painting the lower kitchen cabinets. He said the conversation went like this:

Him: E, what do you think you're doing?

E: Making poor life choices

Him (trying not to laugh): Why?

E: (deadpans) Because sometimes you gotta say f**k it.

He said all he could do was laugh. I told him that I know parenting has changed a lot with all this "gentle parenting " stuff, but you still have to pick your battles and with one sentence that little kid won thr war. 🤣😂😅

He knows where she picked up that phrase. Her mom apparently uses it semi-frequently.

Kids will parrot anything peeps... anything you say. 

Also... I'm using that in a story at some point lol.

He needs to video the conversation when he recounts the incident to her parents, and see who looks real embarrassed. That's the stuff that family holiday gatherings gold is made of. 🤣

If ad libbing works, I say go for it as what you’ve done made them healthier and tastier, imo.

They were good. We had a few for lunch with some tomato, radishes (oh my they were hot) and cucumber with some fresh pineapple as dessert.  We just dipped the veggie balls in some thai chili sauce.
