Kitt Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 The good thing, if the doc sends him chasing tests, you can safely add b vitamins or a multi vitamins daily. Can't hurt and might help. 4

Am i the only one who a) flushes sediment from the heater annually. And b ) inspects the sacrificial annode at the same time? Had the heater in the trailer the barn hand lives in fail a few weeks back. Asked the boss, an electrical engineer who went back to school and obtained a teaching degree, when was the last time those two things were done? His answer: "Whats a sacrificial annode?" Could be something as simple as a B vitamine deficiency. B's are water soluble, so it becomes easy to flish out more than you take in, especially in hot weather. You're supposed to flush a water heater? 5
Starrynight22 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Good morning all. I caught up like 8 pages, so there was a lot happening. Glad to see mostly folk are doing well. Hope those with situations in flux find happy easy solutions. Happy Thursday. I really want a vacation. But none allowed right now. We are having a wee bit of a staffing shortage. Sigh. 5

Keeping the sacrificial anode in decent shape is important too. It's a zinc bar that hangs in the tank dispelling any electrolysis similar to the zinc plates on a boat. As the name implies, the process eats away at the zinc instead of the heater works, and must be replaced periocically. Ok, the chemistry major in me will shut up now. 8 1

We all need that time to recharge. I've been working nonstop since March, considered an 'essential' worker... because getting a new kitchen is so essential during a pandemic. Too many people stuck at home, tired of their surroundings, wanting a remodel. Our business barely slowed down. I've been in and out of houses left and right, COVID be damned. But all of this will eventually even out. Hope you have a good day, girl. 3 4

Construction of any sort was one of the first things stopped here in Toronto. i wonder why it is considered essential there? i can understand emergency repairs... very weird. 8
Popular Post Kitt Posted June 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 11, 2020 (edited) Here they broke construction into groups. The new barn i am looking to move to = non essential. New strip mall/new housing = non essential. Fix the roof after microburst hit it with a tree= essential. The trick is figuring out which side your particular project falls on. I help manage a 55+ community. The residents have had way too much time on their hands to think about home improvement projects. Anything exterior needs management approval. I swear if I get another requests to put in pavers, enclose part of a carport or plant a tree I'm going to scream. 🤯 And we only have about half of our community in residence right now. Most of the snowbirds finally made it home. 7

I keep wanting to replace mine with an on-demand. It's right next to an outside wall so would be easy to change out and vent. 6

I am not going to pretend I know what that means. I suppose you pronounce anion to rhyme with zion, not onion. 5
Popular Post Brayon Posted June 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 11, 2020 It will be four years tomorrow, that I lost 2 friends in a terrorist attack on the gay nightclub Pulse. Last year, @Mikiesboy and @AC Benus put together a tribute to them, from several writers from GA. I recommend it for anyone that hasn't read it yet. Hug someone, tell them you love them, don't let them slip away. 12 1
