I've had a busy day so far. I'm manning the office by myself and everytime the phone rings, the second line has to start ringing too. One at a time people....one at a time! Got out to lunch late, had people show up with no appt to look at a house and then had people waiting outside the door when I got back. When it rains it pours! I just hope they make an offer!

as part of my job i have to ask the customer if they have any symptoms of Covid-19 cough , cold shortness of breath. Well this one customer wanted to know “ did computers get this COVID-19 virus” i said no. i could not end this call fast enough. i was laughing so hard.

So how has your day been?

Thank you for making me laugh rick! That was priceless and I needed it.

My day has been hectic, but it finally ended with a solid contract so my sellers are happy, and I'm happy.

Still no offer on the new home we have, but I'm working the open house tomorrow. 🤞

Good morning, tim. I hope you can talk about because writing makes you happy, I’d say. 
As for c19? It certainly does.

Talking is a good start. You have to go at your own pace. Write when you're ready and when it's something you want to do, not something you feel that you have to do. 

Covid/2020 needs a spanking and and a time out. Or maybe a hit man. Yeah, Covid needs to just go away. Disappear, never to be heard from again. They'll never find the body. Right? 🤣

Right. But that ain't gonna happen, not for a long time, if at all. We are being told again, not to go out as our cases are spiking again here.

We can go out, but I  won't go anywhere unless I have to, and it's always with a mask. I'm getting sick of my house, but we just deal with it. 

On a positive note, my new thumb brace is 10 stops away. Too bad I'm at work and won't be home  for another 3 hours or so...it'll be so good to put it on.

i'm tired of home as well ... i can't write... the odd poem but nothing like i used to. It's like it's March and April again. I hate our apartment. We do walk but we are ALWAYS here. We are not getting on each other's nerves however, so that's good. I have started watching youtube, which i rarely have done.  Now.. i watch dog rescues and Arne and Carlos (they are gay, funny, smart and talented) I could watch them for hours. But i try to limit myself.

I have been reading too ... right now reading a really fascinating book called Into the Out Of ... i really like it. @Wayne Gray recommended it and i found it for my kindle. I really like it a lot.   I have others to read as well. I finished the Bill Hodges series (Mr. Merecedes, Finders Keeper and End of Watch). Read the books, don't bother with the TV series... the first one was amazing, really well  done.. that's when the goodness ended.. the next two parts had almost NOTHING to do with the actual books or story. It was beyond rewritten. I was so disappointed .... Great actors. Brendan Gleeson and Harry Treadaway , Holland Taylor, Justine Lupe... but they just ruined a perfectly good story.

I messed up my left wrist after a clutzy (ie wasn’t paying enough attention) fall a week ago. Luckily, I didn’t break it, but I can’t use it that much, hence I haven’t been that talkative and probably won’t be for a while.

You're not alone with the clutz cloud hovering overhead @Reader1810.  Two weeks ago I tripped going up my outside steps. Brick and concrete are not kind to ones knees, and I still have bruises. The next day, a good friend of mine took a misstep while getting off of an exam table at the doctors and took a bad tumble onto the floor. How about we just blame it on this damn Covid-19 for making us distracted. 😄 I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thumb brace is on....still hurts, but now I  can't move it much, so the stabbing pain isn't there every time I grip something. Hopefully the swelling will go down and I won't have a drumstick instead of a thumb!

It's a rainy, dreary day today. When I  look outside I think it should be cold too, but it's in the low 70s. I've been on FL over 12 years and this time of year always throws me off. I swear there are some days when I have no idea what month it is. I miss the change of seasons. I've heard that the foliage is really beautiful this year.

@Mikiesboy those sound like interesting books. i've been travelling through youtube videos i find them a great distraction & im learning interesting things!

@kbois that weather thing gets me here in Texas. grey skies should not mean muggy, it should mean hoodies & hot cider!

Friday was a long day, not bad per se just seemingly never ending, so i spent that night & much of yesterday unplugged. we took a drive through the hill country to get out of the house. like @Mikiesboy we're not getting on each others nerves, but our house & the backyard are closing in. 

i'll be around sporadically today as i take care of laundry etc.

Happy "southern" fall y'all. It's gloomy and overcast here too. I'm glad I got my steps in really early this morning, because it's going to rain later on.  People think that I'm kidding when I tell them that this time of year, we can run heat in the morning and A/C in the afternoon. It's just so different from fall up north. I also miss the fall foliage, but I don't miss raking up all of those leaves. 

I hope that everyone has a peaceful and relaxing day.

today has not be good but i got thru the challenges. so resting up and getting ready for the upcoming week. the weather here today has been gloomy and rainy. we had our first freeze so the trees will start to change. 

so i have a question for you with all the things going on do you think door to door trick or treat should happen? i think this is stupid. this year we are not going to be passing out candy. we don’t get a lot but to me this is just asking for trouble. 

So how has your day been?

We’re keeping the light off, because we won’t be giving out candy. Having said that, I think parents will be keeping their kids home.

If my neighborhood community group is the barometer that's is very untrue.  

 

I decided ToT is a bad plan so I told Little One that the Tooth Fairy asked her friend Spider Fairy to help since kids can't go out this year. And that Spider Fairy said kids who leave out a lit Jack o lantern and an empty candy bucket will get treats left for them.

Glad to hear that you got through your challenges rick. 

I don't think that door to door trick or treat should happen this year. The churches do "Trunk or Treat" and now they're talking about how or if they can modify it to keep people safe. It stinks for the kids, but what can you do?
