hey everyone how is your weekend going? this is my weekend to work. anyone got any plans on this gloomy rainy weekend? you can tell it is Fall here. The leaves are starting to fall so can winter be to far away. 

Fae that was so nice of the Senior Center to put that sign up for your Dad.

tim nice gnome video those are so cute.  around here is the “Hallmark Old  Red Pickup Truck” some have pumpkins in the bed and you can swap it out with a Christmas Tree. they are everywhere. 

So how is everyone doing?

Hi rick,

No plans other than the same. I did get a lot done today. House is cleaned, laundry done and everybody's been fed. Just have dog walking to tick off the list. I laid off the phone and electronics today and feel better. I think I was scrolling way too much for my own good. 

I had to chuckle, my son went to give my mom a hug and our big dog ran over and started barking at him. Zeke had apparently claimed my mom as primary attention giver and didn't want to share her. Both dogs know exactly where to go for belly rubs and ear scratches!

Hey all.  Hope it's been a happy day.  I'm looking forward to eating one of the brownies I made.  Thiinking I might make myself a cup of fancy cocoa with it.

Today was a really good day. We dropped off my mom at my brothers and as we left I looked at my husband and said "Let's go for a ride".  He said "north or south?"  As we approached the highway I  said "south, north is too tempting to keep driving til we hit cool weather. Lol"

So we ended up in Cape Coral which is about an hour and a half south of us. He found a casual tiki bar restaurant on the water. So we got seated on the "beach" (tables under the outside deck in the sand) and I enjoyed a nice Sangria and a burger and he had a Rum Runner and a Cuban sandwich. The restaurant was right on the bay and we took a nice walk along the fishing pier. It was breezy so not too hot. I still turned a little red....damn fair skin!

Now it's a little pecan whiskey and just chillin. We're going away for a long weekend in two weeks, so trying to plan a few things to do.

Oh brownies.......YUM!!  You've given me a most sinful idea. I believe I have a mix in the pantry and some butterscotch chips. 😁

It's rained almost the entire day here. Apparently it's the leftovers from Hurricane Delta. Other than a quick run to the grocery store all I've done is laundry today. It's hard to get motivated when it's grey and gloomy outside.

things are good here. busy productive day 90% of the laundry done & folded

dinner on the other hand was a disaster. new recipes are a risk though. so we had some bean & cheese burritos

We're going from an absurd 92F today to 75F tomorrow, the doing it again Wed. to Thurs -- this is going to be a long long week for the joints.

Sorry dinner didn't go well. Always disappointed when a recipe that sounds so good on paper turns out....not

@chris191070 I'm sorry you're going through that. Mine hits about 2-3 A.M. once or twice a week. It's very annoying.

@kbois I was just at Aldi's yesterday morning and I  bypassed the bread and baked goods. DRAT!  LOL

@mollyhousemouse Sounds like you've had a time with new recipes. Time for some comfort food---Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, and Green Beans. And pie with ice cream for dessert.  Good old fashioned Mom or greasy spoon diner food! LOL
