Oh, and another for Gary, and one each for Albert and Val and Clo and B and Drew and Sherye and ... hmmm, I guess just leaveing the lad a slice of his own isn't gonna have near the impact of a whole cake ... oh, bother. Perhaps another time then. I snuck in @Marty's house in the middle of the night and got me a small slice. Pushed it lightly back together and fixed the icing around it. Hope he didn't notice it being smaller! lol 1 3

The real cake was safely in a sealed tin under my bed. 8

I'm slowly adjusting to using it. I need to use it a minimum of four hours a night for 21 of the first 30 days in order for insurance to pay for it. The past two nights I've been able to tolerate it for a total of four hours each night, so I'm getting there. It's not a consecutive four hour stretch, but about an hour to an hour and a half at a time, then I have to take it off. I do think even that little bit is helping, since I'm feeling slightly less tired. 2 3

He has no more friends there or bed partners! No, he was not charged with the poisoning cause him being all alone was punishment enough for him. Popular Post Marty Posted January 26, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2021 Well, the thaw came. Which meant the roads were safe to transport the Victoria sandwich to birthday boy. It was a pleasant change to visit my social bubble for the first time in over three weeks. We had tea and cake, and enjoyed several hours of pleasant chat. And the cake was delicious! (Even I had to agree with that. ) Perhaps the only sad part of the visit was that birthday boy's younger brother (one of my two male strippers) had to spend a good part of the time stuck in his bedroom doing online classes; as the schools have not yet reopened due to the pandemic. But if school had been open, it is likely I may not have seen him at all. With the number of Covid-related deaths here now having surpassed 3,000, the government this evening announced further restrictions on travel and socialising. They also stated that it is unlikely schools will reopen until the end of March. Hopefully, as the vaccination program moves forward, things will start to improve. It seems as though the biggest roadblock at the moment is sourcing sufficient supplies of the vaccine itself. Although it's looking likely that the EU will approve other vaccines shortly, so maybe that will speed things up. That said, the online "Vaccine Queue Calculator for Ireland" is currently suggesting that it may not be until 4th April before I receive my first dose, even taking into account that I am over 70 and have an underlying health condition. Which means I may still have to be socially isolating for another two months... 3 5

Which means I may still have to be socially isolating for another two months... He's a lucky guy and you a really nice friend/uncle. It's nice you were able to get out of the house and spent some time with friends, have a change of scenario. My bff and her sister are supposed to come back in to town this weekend (she's in Lyon and her sis in Rouen) but it might be in jeopardy depending what the government will says Thursday evening. Here too things are not improving and the english and south African variants are worrying. There's a high risk/chance? of a third lockdown... the biggest question is either or not the schools will close. It was really damaging for kids last year and officially schools are not a source of clusters but in my aunt's town there was over 30 positive cases all from the school. The town organized a big test campaign and no one out of the school was positive... France seems to have the same problems with the vaccines. Lot of people booked an appointment but it had to be canceled due to not enough vaccines... Stay safe 5 3
Sherye Story Reader Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Just found out that the vaccine will finally come to Texas next week. I will finally feel better about going out more. 5
Popular Post clochette Posted January 26, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2021 Tomorrow morning I'm meeting with the anesthesiologist for monday surgery. The reality of it all is now getting to me. I'm not really stressing but I think I'm only realizing it's not nothing to be totally put under. 1 5
