YES! YES!" counts as very strange, then yes The person below me only JUST discovered the summer anthology, despite having been exposed to the full affect of the anticipation shown by other members of GA in the anthology's fledgling state, and is now wondering when the next anthology is and how one submits a story for it. I've had an extensive story running through my mind for many months now...

Tim the Traveller Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 The person below me taught themselves to drive a manual car today (I only messed up once ) Once is dam good nate! I taught myself how to drive a manual car when i was 15, a manual pickup truck at 14, and a tractor clutch at probably 10. Kinda backwards but it worked--i can drive anything with or without a clutch, So I don't have to be picky at all when it comes to getting different vehicles The person below me is ready to shoot their neighbors dog to put it out of it's misery. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, But people who abuse their dogs by neglecting themshould be shot just as much as the dog making the incessant noise.

rknapp Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Not lately but there was a point where I was up for 4 days in a row with no sleep... The person below me taught themselves to drive a manual car today (I only messed up once ) I didn't teach myself, but I practised without anyone in the vicinity who knew how to drive a manual. The ONLY reason it stalled was because I was moving the car (2004 Nissan 350Z coupe) for my friend who couldn't get the thing in reverse out of his driveway, and out of the way other cars parked on the side of the road. When the coast was clear he yelled out "OK! Let me drive it now!" since the person who owned the car would flip if he saw anyone but this friend driving it. When this happened, his girlfriends mom was coming down the hill in her van, and someone else was rounding the corner towards us in the other direction, and the car was still in the middle of the street. So, in the name of moving quickly, I'd pulled the e-brake, and let off the clutch when the car was still in first gear. Naturally, it stalled. Once is dam good nate! The first clutch I ever drove was our lawn tractor when I was 10/11 years old. But, those don't count since the clutch was also the brake, and there was no gas pedal, you simply hit the brake until the tractor stopped moving, shifted into the desired gear (any gear, 1 through 6, it didn't matter) and slowly let off the clutch/brake. The tractor moves on its own after that. I agree about shooting the neighbors dog. Our neighbors have a beagle that doesn't shut the f**k up. Each howl makes you die a little inside, and being that their backyard is exposed to our driveway, the thing howls EVERYTIME one of our four cars moves. Needless to say, we were elated to see the dog strutting its way down the street one day. Sadly, it has returned. Hell, I'm leaving in three weeks, what do I care LOL. i like your joke law. um... i dont like animals and alll but wow. kick a puppy??? no i wouldnt do that. the person below me, would like for summer not to end so that they can go to the beach and scope out all the eye candy. I'd rather have summer start already... f**k my summer starts when I stop working on the 26th, and will last a week before I have to return to Southern bumf**k New Jersey. Knowing my luck, my dad will hound my ass to do his bidding while I'm not working, because he can be an asshole like that. The person below me is regarding the coming schoolyear as a vacation.
Tim the Traveller Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Umm.. Can I just shoot the neigbhor and call the pound? I really dont like killing doggies. :? ok im all for it--i called the pound last night, they told me to call the sheriff, whom told me to call the councilman on the board in the town of troy(mailing address is river falls, but technically I live in the township of troy), And then I get the runaround about what county im in, seeing as how the county line runs in the 2 feet between the back of my trailer and the neighbors trailer, And then finally being told by everyone there is nothing they can do immediately. They will send someone out to give them a warning, and the 2nd time it will be a $100 fine, 2nd time $200, and it keeps doubling itself until they can control their dog or get rid of their dog. I just feel sorry for the poor dog tied up on a 3 foot leash all day, no food or water, constantly barking. Why do people have animals if they dont want them? The person below me is regarding the coming schoolyear as a vacation. Ok I'll agree--especially since i have no classes to attend The person below me wants to go mudding or rock crawling before summer ends
