It's not a dictatorship. We are allowed to enjoy different things. I seem to recall once that you prefer Italian wine. . 1 3 Quote
Davide Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I've watched the occasion Survivor episode, but never a full season and I don't seek them out. As for my favourite reality show, let me get really obscure. I once heard about a Korean reality show called The Genius and there are fan made English subtitles available online somewhere. Here's the Wikipedia page with information. There are only four seasons, but the show is great, except season 2. The games require the contestants to have a mix of intelligence to come up with strategies and social skills to form alliances and possibly betray them. And the editing is unusual, they tend to focus on one group, often resulting in a surprising outcome of the game, followed by flashing back to reveal information that was previous withheld from us, such as a secret alliance. 1 3 Quote
Jason Rimbaud Posted March 20 Author Posted March 20 I've never really watched a single other reality show, but for some reason, Survivor captured my imagination and it's never let me down. Maybe its the challenges I like the most, the plotting and manipulation is also fun to experience. I'd never want to go on Survivor but I do enjoy sitting on my couch drinking whiskey while Jeff's third leg bounces around in his tan shorts. 4 Quote

I don't know if her motivation is the same as yours though. 5 Quote

Jason Rimbaud Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Day three of binging Survivor. We are on the second to last episode of Season Two. The show must have been on fire because instead of the usual 15 episodes, I think it's sixteen. I remember who won this season, but I forgotten how it seemed a foregone conclusion that the Texas boy was going to win. And that petite little southern mom wormed her way into Colby's mind and took it away from him. In Frosted Heart news, unlike the entire story until this final chapter, I was writing by the seat of my pants. With this conclusion, I am taking my time to make sure every word is perfect. So its mostly finished but I am not completely happy with it yet, so it will be posted soon, but only when I'm happy with the end result. In Gabriel's Gambit news, I just posted chapter eight with a pretty big cliffhanger. Not my fault, it was already over 7K words and to get to the conclusion of the cliffhanger, would have taken another two thousand. So it wasn't my intention for a cliffhanger, but it was kind of a dick move to give one. In San Francisco news, we are still being boiled alive with a horrible heat wave. Though today is proving to be not as hot but twice as humid. So instead of being burned by the sun, we are drowning in ball sweat and it's barely 10am. In relationship news, I was not able to repair my friendship with my friend with the horny ex, so my partner in crime left me to take the heat of watching bad movies alone. Halfway through I switched to porn, so I made up for it. In all other news, I am married and no longer asking for dick pics from my friends. I am still giving my own freely. My latest share, I was given access to their digitial photo frame to share some pics of my cats with them. Instead I sent them a bunch of dick pics and it took them almost two days to notice. I am ashamed to say it wasn't when they had friends over or anything, it was just my friend watching TV and when he looked over I was there in all my tiny glory. It was a fulfilling event nonetheless. That's it from me today, I must cook some wings for whomever pays for it. Long live the rebellion, long live Count Chocolaca, long live the free sharing of dic picks. 4 Quote

I hope you bring them back some day on another story. But, when this one is over, I'll have to read the Glacier Bay story I'm still miss, Tyler's Dilemma. 1 2 Quote

Five and Percy are part of my annual Christmas stories, I'm sure they'll return in some way or another. Last story they were only supporting players, one of their other friends was the main character. Christmas at Glacier Bay. If you haven't read it, check it out. It's only one chapter. 4 Quote

I read that story and the other short Glacier Bay one after reading a few Frosted Hearts chapters, it was good and fun. It's only the longer one that I decided to save until after Frosted Hearts. At first, I thought the banter was getting slightly mean towards the main character because it seemed too one sided, aimed at him than at anyone else. But, when I saw that he still took that banter as being friendly, I decided to interpret as it being more even than it seemed, just with us mostly not seeing the stuff aimed at others because it wasn't relevant to the story. 3 Quote

You weren't the only one who had an issue with how they treated Jason. But in my defense, some of those conversations were almost verbatim taken from my friends and me around Christmas time. And as you see in Frosted Hearts, they are a close group of friends who love each other. Tyler's Dilemma is even sillier than Frosted Hearts with many absurd scenes. I loved writing those characters and all their craziness. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one. 4 Quote

What made me feel that way wasn't how they treated Jason in a vacuum, it was that they seemed to not treat anyone else in the friend good in the same way. If everyone gets targeted by the same kind of banter, it's just friendly stuff, but singling him out made it feel more targeted. But, since Jason didn't take any issue with it, I rationalised as us simply not seeing similar banter aimed at other characters because it wasn't relevant to the plot and a single chapter story only has so much space. Regarding Tyler's Dilemma, that seems promising. I typically don't post comments on stories I read late because I figure no one will read them. But I can do it if you're interested in them, the author of a story reading my comments is enough. Edited March 21 by Davide 1 2 Quote

I think Jason’s like I am, no comment ever comes too late. I read and respond regardless of the timing. I re-read my stories and have seen comments after nearly a year that I responded to. Yes, I can see that. They did gang up on him in a way, but in all the other stories not yet written, they treat everyone equally. And @Lee Wilson is correct. I respond to all comments, no matter how old they might be. If you take the time to comment, I take the time to respond. 4 Quote

As for Tyler's Dilemma, that settles it, I'll make sure to comment when I get to it. 17 minutes ago, Lee Wilson said: I think Jason’s like I am, no comment ever comes too late. Thank you to the spell checker, because knowing which English words have double letters is the worst. I remember 'dilemma' had one, but not whether it was the 'l' or the 'm', and I wasn't sure if 'truly' had a double 'l'. 1 3 Quote

But I believe both are worth reading. 4 Quote

So I like to poke him when I get the chance to remind myself of my place. 6 Quote

I like having variety in what I read and those stories seem to have pretty different tones, which makes them great for this. 7 minutes ago, Lee Wilson said: You’ll be biting off two with that one as there is a sequel. Jason Rimbaud Posted March 23 Author Posted March 23 So when I watch youtube shorts or reels, whatever the is called, I've been seeing a bunch of AI generated content, either videos or stories. And you can always tell when a story has been written with AI, the same short sentences, repeating phrases over and over again. I don't believe people actually believe these obviously fake stories. That beings said, I'm starting to pick up stories posted on GA with those same troupes. I guess my question is, how do everyone feel about authors posting AI stories on the site? If they would mention in the notes, this story was enhaced by AI I might be able to look the other way, but what if they are passing it off like it's their own story? 1 2 2 Quote
