Popular Post Jason Rimbaud Posted February 28 Author Popular Post Posted February 28 I might have been confused on Sunday whether or not I was sick...but today, Friday, I have clarity of thought. Monday was not good, Tuesday was worse, and Wednesday I sat on my couch all day wrapped in a blanket. I watched the entire Acolyte Show on Disney. Not because it was that good, but I was that medicated that I just sat there, too cold, too achy, too lazy, to grab the remote and change the show so it played to the end. I have been coughing up all the good stuff and can barely breathe. It's been a really rough weak on my body. That being said, we are finishing up an amazing month, a record setting month for my humble restaurant. But I think we are kind of maxed out unless I make some changes. So this week I found and hired a new face for my restaurant. Currently, I am in the restaurant about 90 hours a week. Everyone knows me as the face, the one that is always there to greet them. But being the face, I can't focus on other things, such as new sauces, new menu items, or catering orders. So I hired this new woman to groom her to become the face, so I can take a step back and focus on more revenues centers. This will also prepare me for when we open our new location, I already have someone in place so there will be less of a void when I need to focus on other projects. It's a wonderful place to be and I think this year is going to be amazing. I'm excited. Well, I will be excited once I stop hacking and coughing up things I probably breathed in the 80's. 3 3 Quote

I know, I have so many other things going right now I can't let myself get distracted by another story. But like a good idiot, I quickly wrote down the basic outline and then went back to bed. I thought I'd put it in my idea folder and forget about it while I try to finish Tyler's Dilemma. But over the last few weeks, the idea wouldn't go away. I thought about it on the train to work, during work, while reading Krista's amazing story Learned To Lie, as I convalesced for three days getting over my sickness, and as I did my husbandly duties. Don't be pervs, I meant washing laundry, cleaning the house, doing dishes. Jeesh. So today I figured I'd open that outline and take a look at what I had. That led to another thing and before I knew it, I started writing a new short story. Luckily it won't be that long, just a quicky, a flash in the pan, but if I don't get it out, I won't be able to work on anything else. I started reading through some topics on this section of the forum when I'm bored. It's fun to read "Luckily it won't be that long" with the future knowledge that it turned into 20+ chapters. On 11/20/2025 at 8:42 PM, Jason Rimbaud said: Hmm, its not looking good. This quickie, flash in the pan, one off story, has ballooned into multiple chapters, maybe even as high as eleven. I don't think I can get it ready by Christmas. I forgot to say the title, Another Christmas In Glacier Bay. Last time I posted a christmas story in June, I was hoping to post this one at Christmas. FML "Maybe even has high as eleven" chapters, little did you know how much you were still undershooting. Edited February 28 by Davide 1 3 Quote

Three months worth of silliness. I’m glad it’s almost over. 1 3 Quote

But I actually think you did a good job in Frosted Hearts to only give us sex scenes that do something for the plot, character development or general characterisation, while skipping over the ones that would have just been sex for sex's sake. 3 Quote

Frosted Hearts has enough of both of those to last you a lifetime. It's silliness on steroids. I'm rather proud of that story honestly. For a story that I basically wrote a chapter and posted as I went, I think it's pretty solid. 1 4 Quote

I'll share this bit of info...I wrote all the ones I skipped over, plus the scenes between Ethan and Percy, Ethan and Five, and then one crazy one with all three. . I felt that took the story into a direction I did not want it to go in, so I cut them out. I didn't think after Ethan started banging both of them, that the reader would feel any good will towards our couple. But that plotline, along with Bethany showing her more freaky side with her girlfriends, might be returned if I ever revise the story. 1 3 Quote

Often I was a couple chapters ahead, but I can only think of one that was done before I posted it. You’ve done that pretty well with Frosted Hearts. 2 1 Quote

Jason Rimbaud Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 So I'm at work. It's Saturday. It's a really hot day in San Francisco, and I'm sweating in the kitchen. I don't like to sweat, I prefer it fifty degrees at all times. All my cooks are complaining. So I bought them ice cream from a local shop. Can you believe they complained that I bought the wrong flavor? Ungrateful bastards. But all I can really think about is getting home. Why do I want to rush home you might ask? Because I got something delivered and I can't wait to try them on. Matter of a fact, it's four somethings I can't wait to try on. I've been waiting since my birthday back in January for them to arrive. I'm so excited I might exploded. Figuratively. This is gonna be the longest day of my life. Starring Jack Bauer as Jason Rimbaud.... 3 1 Quote

But sweating in February (in the northern hemisphere)? The weather is crazy! And how many would love to work in the place where the kind of 'complaints' they have about their boss is he bought the wrong ice cream flavour? 5 Quote

I hate that sweaty feeling in that down there place. Gross On the other side of that coin, I'm sure my staff could complain about me in lots of various ways. Though a good portion of them have followed me from job to job so that's really on them. 4 Quote

Jason Rimbaud Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 So after one week of being at the very door of death, I am starting to feel better. Just in time for the Ides of March...I wonder who's going to stab me in the back? I'm excited to find out. The other day I was reading Becoming Superman from JMS, and realized that out of all the superheroes, Marvel or DC, I hate Superman the most. He's overpowered, boring, do gooder, and a psychopath. According to the comics, he can hear everything happening on the planet at the same time. Which means he knowingly decides who lives or dies in any given moment. Batman was right/write to fear him and seek his destruction. So in an attempt for "research", I swear, I downloaded Grindr a few weeks ago. Has anyone else met Fazza from Dubai? Poor guy seems awfully busy and forgetful. He's messaged me like once a day for the last two weeks and always says the same thing. I wonder if it's something in the water. The good news/nose, he makes small investments on the side. Today he was a pilot, he wears so many hats. I can't wait to meet him as he claims distance is no hurdle for love. On a different note, someone messaged me, inquiring if I'd be down for a three day getaway to Stockton where four "straight" guys would like to experiment on me. I'm debating it...internally.... . Being off those dating apps for ten years, things got weird. I prefer Wolfr for all my hook-up desires. 4 Quote

Jason Rimbaud Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 So I was scrolling around last night enjoying a whiskey and perusing BDSM porn (research you pervs), when I came (pun intended) across a revival of a show called Scrubs. It was interesting to see the characters, JD looks old while Turk looks almost the same. They neutered Dr. Cox and booted his ass off the show. I can't see his character in modern times, not with his humor, and lack of wokeness. Too bad, he was one of the better parts of the show. I watched the first episode and might check out the other eight after they are all online. Did anyone else watch Scrubs back in the day and did anyone watch this new, slightly watered down version? 1 2 Quote

I didn't follow the show, but I watched the occasional episode if it was on and I had nothing better to do. I don't watch revivals of old shows, they almost always end up being disappointing. I'd need to see people praise a revival first to break that rule. 55 minutes ago, Lee Wilson said: Never got into scrubs, either the show or the clothes. New shows that remind us of old ones typically don't have the same issues as revivals. And ER was a great show, so I'd still watch it if it's half as good. Plus Wikipedia says a few people from ER are also working on The Pitt. Edited March 3 by Davide 2 Quote

Out of all my movies, six thousand and counting, I think I have like thirty-three dramas. The exception to my no medical dramas, I do love HOUSE, like a lot. I've seen the show three times and currently am watching it again. 1 Quote
