The nearest fire to me has burned ~7000 acres and is 15% contained. It's not a threat to my town as of now, but I'll keep y'all informed if things change. 5 3

I haven't heard from the doctor since my arrival but some captors have been taken off. It was those for sleep apnea and the no rest legs thing so I guess those 2 things are off the list of things I might have. My skin is dry and itches from the sticky bandages kind of thing they've put on my face to keep the electrodes in place. I can't wait to be home, take a shower, have a self care moment and breath some fresh air. 7
clochette Posted February 18 Posted February 18 @Albert1434were you able to have another date for you doctor appointment? 5

Popular Post Drew Espinosa Posted February 18 Popular Post Posted February 18 There is now a fire north of my town. Thankfully, with the wind coming from the southwest, it's not going to effect us. But my eldest sister's home seems to be near the effected area. 5 2

The fire is now 80% contained. As for the fire to the southwest, it's burned 12,000 acres, not sure how much has been contained but some evacuation orders have been lifted in the area, so I see that as a positive sign. 7
Popular Post Drew Espinosa Posted February 19 Popular Post Posted February 19 The weather forecast for my area: tomorrow will the same as today, however over the weekend the winds should calm down somewhat and the humidity ought to be higher. Hopefully, any remaining fires will be stamped out by then. 7

Popular Post clochette Posted February 19 Popular Post Posted February 19 I'm free!!! I had to take a nap this morning and another one this afternoon. When I rang the bell at 3.30pm to say that I was done with my nap the nurse said ok and left me. I wait and wait and wait. They had told me I'd be free around 4.30 but it was already approaching 4pm and no news. I was going crazy, like really. When the nurse finally came in my room she asked if I thought I'd like to take another nap before 5.30... I told her no and that she better let me go cause I was inches away from climbing the walls. I was set free from all the electrodes and allow to take a shower The paste in my hair to hold the electrodes was a bitch to take off (imagine something like dry plaster/toothpaste). Now I have some rash on my chin, left cheekbone and on my forehead near my hairline on the right from the glue 6
