  1. I thought you guys would appreciate this.
  2. This is very good. It reminds me of my anthology story "Obsession". Very twisted. Nice job.
  3. I think it's going to take a lot of Pepsi to save the zombie, if he's able to be saved... I do plan on continuing. I just need a suitable prompt. I'm glad you liked it.
  4. Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great day! Here's a rainbow cake for you
  5. This is one of my favorite scenes from the story, too. I can totally relate as I had something similar happen to me once... It is the reason towels now get thoroughly checked for creepy crawlies before each use. lol
  6. Happy Birthday, Cia!! I hope your day is as awesome as you are! Thank you for all you do for GA. I hope you get spoiled today! :D Here's a cool book cake for you
  7. I loved this story, too. I highly recommend it.
  8. Happy Birthday!!! I hope you have an awesome day! Here's a cool gothic cake for you! :D
  9. Thanks A Secret Pumpkin contest would be awesome I bet there'd be a ton of participation.
  10. I wanted to give an update to let everyone know what writing projects I have in the works. Chapter 19 of "The Hollow Hills" is almost complete and will be sent to my team soon. I hope to have it posted within the next couple of weeks. I am very appreciative of all the support I've received for this story. I know my posting speed is excruciatingly slow, but it's very important to me that I focus on producing the best story possible vs. cranking out chapters quickly and not being happy with them. I'd like to think that the end result will be worth the wait. I have ideas for two anthology stories - one for the fall anthology and one for the special anthology. I hope to be able to get both written in time for inclusion in the anthos. I also have two ideas for Halloween stories. Halloween is my favorite time of year, so I'm excited to write on this theme. I've also started a new novella, but progress on it has been slow. My main focus right now is on finishing "The Hollow Hills" and getting the antho stories written, then I can turn my focus to this one. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I think modern fantasy fans will especially like it. I'm having surgery on August 25th and will be off work for 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping that once I'm recovered enough physically, I can use that time to really focus on getting some writing done. Oh, and I almost forgot about my zombie prompt story...apparently I have to finish that story as well.
  11. Yeah, me either. We'll see what next week's prompts are and if they inspire a continuation. Thanks for the review.
  12. Thanks Yes, there is hope. We'll see what the future holds. Glad you liked it!
  13. Thanks, Tim The first line prompt was tailor made to continue this story. I'm glad you like it so much. I'm starting to become rather fond of the poor zombie myself.
  14. Prompt 522 First line: “Please, I have to see him.” “Please, I have to see him.” The hospital worker stopped dead in her tracks, peering into the shadowy corner under a small overhang not far from the hospital’s entrance. The hole in the zombie’s throat had widened since the last time she saw him, causing his barely audible voice to whistle as most of the air he used to speak escaped through the opening in his trachea. The greenish tint to his skin was even more pronounced, as was the s
  15. Prompt 522 has been started. It will be a continuation of my zombie prompt from a few weeks ago.
  16. I have an idea for 522.
  17. It's a very powerful poem, Addy. There's an appealing lyrical quality to it. I could easily see this set to music. Nice job. Here's a hug for you and your friend.
  18. Great collection, Parker. These are just--if not more--poignant than a postcard or snapshot. Each one was a delight that captured the moment perfectly. You brought me back to my own days of camping in the Adirondacks, especially the early morning mist, the loons, the talking fire, chilly mornings, good food, and great conversations. The only substitution would be black bear for moose. lol I just came back from a family reunion--not in the woods, but a very rural area--so the 'snapshot' of the family celebration was especially moving. Nice job, and great to have you back!
  19. Happy Birthday, Sammy! Here's a rainbow cake for you
  20. Thanks I'm glad you liked it. I may continue this if another prompt sparks my interest.
  21. Happy Birthday, Dragon! Here's an awesome dragon cake for you! :D Hope you're having a great day!
  22. I agree with Reader. I've read a few of your stories and enjoyed them very much. I wouldn't mind reading the ones that I haven't read yet, but can't since they're not there anymore. If you 'unarchive' them, I'm sure you will find people will still want to read them.
