Celebrating the 4th of July, I have posted the first of a four story set featuring Asher Romanski from the series Sanitaria Springs. Asher is a poor kid who has resigned himself to taking his lumps and keeping out of harm's way. But then an event makes him dare to dream.

Cocky firefighter Logan O'Donoghue is a total hothead. And that’s precisely why Aiden Kashima, a young culinary student and aspiring pastry chef, can’t stand him. But after a devastating fire destroys his apartment, Aiden finds himself taking up a bed in Logan’s fire station.

The tension and lust between them quickly blazes into a red-hot romance. Aiden may have a talent for baking sweets, but first he has to learn that love doesn't come with a recipe.

This story follows teens as they navigate friends, the foster care system and finding out who they are. There may or may not be a supernatural element at play. The series does feature references to the band Jethro Tull, a recurring theme.

When I heard about women and men staying in an abusive relationship, I wondered what was wrong with them. How could they stay with someone who’d hurt them? Why didn’t they walk away from their abuser? It’s an easy thing to do to walk away in order to keep yourself from getting beat up or worse… killed. If I knew I was going to meet Jeffrey Harris, during our freshman year of college, I would’ve kept those thoughts to myself because soon, I would become one of those people.
