Ravings of a Rabid Werewolf - Poetry by Wolf - 39. Tempest

Grey clouds build in the sky,

Extending to the horizon.

The cold, dark waters churn,

As a tempest begins to form.

Bright flashes of Lightning,

Join the roaring boom of thunder.

A cool summer wind blows;

Waves relentlessly pounds the rocks.

The odd calm felt on land,

Belies the rage of the North Sea.

On the very north of the island of St. Lucia (Caribbean) there is a point where an inlet is divided on one side by the calm Caribbean Sea and the other the raging waves of Atlantic Ocean. You could swim happily for days on one side and one slip on the rocks of the other could end you.

There was no storm brewing, but the images you described made me remember that.

sorry for the run on, but thank you, too. 🙂

Thank you, Defiance :) You can run on anytime. I like the sound of the Caribbean. It's much warmer than the waters of the North Sea.

Wonderful poem, Wolfie. Can picture it all .. in the wonderful shades of gray.

Thank you, tim. It's surprising to some people that a beautiful day doesn't need to be all sunshine and flowers. A storm on the horizon can be just as nice if the company you're with appreciates too.
