Things come in 3's

Nothing profound here tonight Sorry.   Things come in 3's, or so they say. I really hope that is true. Last night my nearly 3 year old cat Tribble died suddenly, and I mean suddenly. I went upstairs to watch hockey and she was fine. About a half hour later, Sam comes out o his room and then comes running into me saying that Tribble fell over on the landing. Sure enough, there she was just lying there. I gave her some water and she drank it, turned over and died. She was always healt

I'm The Mom Song

One of my sisters sent me this in an email today. I laughed out loud. I'll even admit that I've probably said about three quarters of it at one time or another.   I'm The Mom Song

Crap your pants

Two days ago when I was driving up the Central Valley of California I saw a cloud of dust over on the other side of the freeway. It was a huge vineyard and I figured a farmer type was doing some sort of farmer job and making a lot of dust in the process. They're doing it all the time all along the freeway, so it's not all that uncommon to see a cloud of dust blow out onto the interstate.   Suddenly, a car flies out of the dust cloud and bounces up onto the pavement. I thought for a second it w

Over The Line

Something happened today, and it all happened so fast that I still don't think I've had enough time to process it all. Maybe that's why I held my tongue, even though I really wanted to do something.   One of my teachers announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer on Tuesday, and that she has to have major surgery to find out if it's spread. She had enough respect for us to tell us what was going on, and then she admitted that she was terrified. My heart was just breaking for her, but t

I think I'm depressed...

I don't really have a point to writing this, but it's keeping me from falling asleep so I figured I'd do it.   I haven't eaten in a day and a half, and I'm not even hungry. I have a bitch of a headache so I know I need to eat, but I just don't have an appetite at all. I got food today for breakfast and tried to force myself to eat, but I became nauseous every time I would think about taking a bite so I gave up. I only got two hours of sleep last night, and had to be up at 6:30 to finish a pape

Fiction and reality

I was quite upset as a teenager when I was told about how comics/ movies/ RPGs had a bad influence on "youth". I also hated being made part of a group just on view of my age. I've always believed "people", like in a vast majority of people, were grown up enough to see the difference between fiction and reality.   But as of late, I've started wondering about the influence of fiction, TV series in particular, on how "people" actually see the world. A few months back, I was at one of my music fri

September 29

One day everything is in the future and you make plans for a day that is forever away. Then the next day that day has passed; you blinked and it ran right by you.   This is life in a few words. Many have phrased those words much more eloquently than I. Pink Floyd expressed the idea beautifully in Time.   Ever notice how the grand statements about life tend to apply on both large scale and small scale? There is a consistency in such things. Of course, people who understand things li

Best Friend

I used to complain about not being able to turn off the creative switch. At times it drove me batty always coming up with these stories. But now I don't care because the depression wipes me out so much I often can't write anyway.   So, this morning before I left Roseburg, OR, I announced I finished The Pastel Cowboy, but was not going to work on any new projects until I wrote the new ending for Tim and the Corsair, wrote my submission to the Winter Anthology (which takes place on Glandar and e

Gays In the Military

Obviously there were no gays in the military in this WWII era recruitment poster- despite the coy looking blond twink servicing all those pipes and valves.     Nothing homo-erotic at all about this big, burly sweaty man slamming that big shell home...     This WWI era recruiting poster is looking for young men and seamen...     Oh well, leave it too the marines to know where the action is.   Semper fi, do or die, Marine Corp, Marine Corp, Marine Corp!   ______________________

The End!

It's over!   There's nothing more I can do.   Nothing.   I've come to the end and there's no use in going further.   The Pastel Cowboy has been a fun journey, but when Zach said, "____ ______ _______ since I found out I was gay," I couldn't see any reason to do anything other than write, "THE END."   Now, all I have to do is write the new end to "Tim" and my submission for the Winter Anthology. Only then will I be in a position to decide what project I'm going to do next.   I know I'

Home, again

Well, I'm at home, again.   Last night I was supposed to deliver a load of licorice to a local mini-mart distributor, but the delivery dates got messed up and they wouldn't take delivery. When everyone finally figured out what was going on I was sent to the Puyallup yard to drop the trailer and sent home to wait for another load. I leave tomorrow morning for sunny California, delivering on Tuesday.   What have I done at home? Nothing.   Though, tonight we went to our favorite Mexican resta

Home, WA

Well, not exactly the community of Home because there is a community on the Key Peninsula called Home.   No, I'm at home.   Silly me forgot my pill supply when I went out. Of course, silly me believed the recruiter when she said, "We like to get all our drivers home every week."   Male Bovine Waste!   So, I needed to get home tonight or tomorrow to restock.   So, my load delivered in Chehalis, WA, which is 50 miles south of here. I was suppose to get an empty trailer and take it to Puy

Biggest Supernova Ever Recorded

The brightest supernova   Astronomers using NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and ground-based telescopes have detected the brightest stellar explosion ever recorded.     Observations suggest supernova SN 2006gy is the brightest and most energetic stellar explosion ever recorded and may be a long-sought new type of explosion. Here, an artist's illustration shows what SN 2006gy may have looked like if viewed up close. NASA/CXC/M.Weiss   Astronomy Magazine Online May 7, 2007   The brig

One Hell of a Week

First off, let me just say that if I haven't talked to any of you in a long time and you never see me on MSN anymore, I'm sorry. This week has been absolute hell for me. I started my training week at work on Sunday night at 7pm. I work from 7pm to 5:30am Sunday-Thursday this week. I have school from 8am-12pm Monday-Thursday. I've pulled one 28 hour day before finally passing out and getting 3 hours of sleep, and today I'm going to pull another long 24+ hour day IF I even sleep at all before I go

Birthday Rant!

Hey All   So I would like to start this blog by thanking all of you who have wished me a happy birthday, it really mean's allot.   So I started today as i would start any other normal day, get up look at the time, go back to sleep rinse and repeat 5 times haha. Anyway, i finally got up and took a shower. I got dressed and headed out the door to start my day. I went around and did the basic cleaning things that are required of me to do for the job.   However, today I noticed one of the li

Another week, another blog

So, I had my annual performance review and salary review at work. I got "Above Average" on my rating, which I think I definitely deserve, since I work my butt off for them, and the salary isn't as competitive as other companies in the translation & localization industry. They did give me an 8% pay raise, and I should be getting between $1,500 - $2,500 for a bonus at Christmas time, which will help. They also want to move me into middle management within the next 6 months to a year, which wil

For Billy... <3

Since you asked so nicely   So there has been much penis talk lately... (in regards to the final chapter of FBTE) Thank you to all who contributed, since we all know I lack such parts... though I am rather fluent in... oh nevermind   So I'm not sure how you guys are going to feel about 'The End' but it feels like it's time. There has been much debate about 'how' to end a story, or what is the best or most fulfilling way for the reader. Even Rich, who never reads , I know... trust me, has

Frazier Park, CA

I drove for three and a half hours yesterday.   I deliver today at noon.   It's cold here this morning.   Do I sound BORED?   I hope this isn't how things are going to be with this company.   I mean, I should welcome all the free time, but dilly-dallying down the road is a bit tiring.   Well, I wasn't going to go to the customer loc last night and park overnight on a street in Metro LA. Mostly, because I don't have a sign that says, "Rob me, I don't have a gun!" Not that I'm saying M

"Just let me hold you while you're falling apart"

So this is a rather long, probably pointless-for-anyone-else-to-read-but-I'm-glad-I-wrote-it entry about my feelings regarding the balance of support, neediness, and power in my ideal relationship. On a side note I'm beginning to get very irritated with the casual, sloppy, informal way I've been writing blogs and posts lately. Still...WHATEVER!   ************************************************     So I was driving to work today when "Ever the Same" by Rob Thomas came on the radio. I'd

Tis The Job

Hey All   So I thought I would stop by and update you all on a little that's been going on. So last week Monday, I started my new job, got everything packed and unpacked in a matter of hours, which is a very good thing. So let me just start off by saying I love my new place. I mean I feel so free, so alive, and for once so happy!!! I got a place all to myself and I don't have to share with anyone!   So now moving on to the job, I must say it isn't what I thought it would be

So Exhausting Frenzied Manic

My coworkers have learned it is best that I am steered away from real coffee. They at first, as most people do, thought my habit of drinking decaf to be a bit silly at best and counter-productive at worst. There was a time when I would have agreed with them. Of course, that was before the worst parts of puberty had really set in for me, and my body chemistry worked quite a bit differently. At that point, coffee relaxed me.   Now if I so much as smell caffeine I get wired like a five-year-old t
