Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 1 - Dec. 7)

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth..." Does anyone remember this classic Christmas tune? How about some others like Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, or even the classic Kevin Bloody Wilson song,  . I worked decades in a retail chain and in those decades, after Remembrance Day on November 11 you got 24/7 Christmas songs on the speaker system. I think that is when I developed a dislike for traditional Christmas music   I did develop a

December CSR Feature: The Devil is Gay Series by kbois

In honor of kbois recent promotion to Signature Author (congratulations again!!) I wanted to feature something that I thought was fun because sometimes we all need a break from when the holidays get hectic and crazy... so why not a short story series like... The Devil is Gay. Seriously, doesn't that just make you go, wait, what?! You can read these all in one go or in a bite-sized chunks when you need them. kbois wrote the last story, Corrupting the Innocent, to celebrate her promotion to Promis

Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 24 - Nov. 30)

I hope all our American cousins had a great Thanksgiving weekend 🦃 . It is always nice to get together with family and friends over a big feast if you are lucky enough to do so. For those that didn't, we are thinking about you too  Even though I'm not down south of the 49th, I must have been personally feeling everyone's thoughts as I found myself not only undoing one, but yes two of the buttons on my 501's Thursday evening .  Being a late Thanksgiving this year meant that I was able to get

Upcoming Events Reminder

First, I'd like to wish all our American members a very Happy Thanksgiving!  I will be spending the day at my aunt's, stuffing my face with turkey and all the sides   I'd be perfectly happy with a plate full of stuffing and gravy, though.  🤤 I am thankful for everyone who makes this site as awesome as it is!  I'm also thankful for everyone who participates in site events, such as the anthologies and other contests run throughout the year.     Speaking of site events, we have two

November CSR Discussion Day: Hustle by Talo Segura

Wow, November already. With the year almost over, I wanted to keep featuring things that kept readers guessing and challenge the idea of the traditional reading genres and stories. What did you think of Hustle? Share your thoughts below, but first, the interview!! Chocolate or Vanilla? I have to cheat... both! What's your favorite room in your home? Do you plot or write there? I don't have a favourite room and I write where ever I find myself alone and not being disturbed, of

Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 17 - Nov. 23)

Steve has climbed into his cave and don't wake him up until the end of April.  I think it it is @Slytherin's turn to stay awake this winter   That bear just happens to be the colour of outdoors.  We got dumped on the past week. No road lanes, no sidewalks, no nothing. All buried in snow. It is beautiful if you don't need to go out into it  Also, the temperature dropped into the minus celsius without windchill  Winter is here, I hereby declare. May you all share the wonder of it
