Drew Espinosa Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 Not paranoid. Not schizophrenic. Not bipolar. 2

I’m not even remotely a mathematician, but I’m guessing this is what Pi Boy is referring to: Quote In 1958, Albert Eagle proposed the Greek letter tau τ as a symbol for 1/2π, selecting the new symbol because π resembles two τ symbols conjoined (ττ). Ligature is a typographical term for conjoined in the way described. An alternative possibility: Quote In ancient times, tau was used as a symbol for life or resurrection, whereas the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet, theta, was considered the symbol of death. …but it doesn’t quite fit what Drew was suggesting. A case might be made for this definition too: Quote The lifetime of a spontaneous emission process Let me know if I can look anything else up for you, hoho. I enjoy toying with context and interpretation. It’s a just bonus when I can confuse you! ;-)
hohochan657 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 @droughtquake Great, now I'm totally confused ... I think it should be the 1/2 pi that Drew would be referring to ... 2
Drew Espinosa Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 I was referencing the pi vs. tau debate when it comes to radians. In this case, tau equals two pi. Anyways, since today is @Reader1810's birthday, I'll only say this once: Team Nathan for the win! And, while Nyce Air is discontinuing Team Nathan Airlines, they have decided to gift the Empress with a state of the art private jet that will bear the Team Nathan logo. 4
