I also had some side effects from shot #2. I had like a low grade fever and a slight headache for about 36 hours. Then it all went away. My sister had no effects from her shot #2 but she had Pfizer, I had Moderna. Glad everyone is better now.

I've decided that a personal chef is good. Justin and I went to his grandparents Saturday for dinner. They had brought in a chef and consulted with a sommelier to choose the wines for each course. The meal was fantastic, it was like being in a really fancy restaurant and probably didn't cost all that much more.

They are still buttering me up I think to make sure I go along with all the grandiose schemes for the upcoming wedding. For this kind of food and wine I'll get married every year!

It's been raining here too. And it has gotten cold again.

But I made a very excellent dinner of spiced baked chicken.  I used a blend of spices that included smoked paprika and it was great.

That sounds really good. I made a crock pot full of sesame teriyaki chicken and got it all packed up for lunches this week.

Rain still going on. Thunder has sent my scaredy pup into the closet to hide out. No walk tonight.

Yummy.  I wish my family liked pork but alas I'm the only one so I never buy it. Unless I fully plan on making 2 proteins

Hubby is not fond of lamb, I love it. So I buy a couple of chops  and a pack of pork chops and wrap individually. Toss one of each on the grill and we are both happy.

I like lamb as well. My mother (who lives with me now in her golden years) also likes lamb.  I buy it sometimes, but it's so pricey here.

This has been going on for a long while. What is the holdup on their end? Sorry to hear you've been in constant discomfort. Not cool.

From what I understand lack of hospital bed/operating theatre. Apparently this isn't a major issue.

Dental checkup today only to be told I need 2 more appointments, one lasting an hour and the other 30 minutes.

Oh well something to take my mind off my kidney pain.

My husband has been trying to get an appointment for a full upper and lower GI series of tests. The referral was sent from his primary doctor over two weeks ago. They're supposed to call within a week. He's left messages and I called today too and had to leave a message. Still nothing. In the meantime he's supposed to have a follow up appt on Friday and he's still having a lot of issues swallowing.

It's frustrating. 😡

two new recipes this week, tonight's was a big hit!

hope everyone had a great day

I'm not much of a spiced up food eater but enough cheese would fix anything! I do cook here but it's usually French or Italian.

Had a great day here! One more day to go for my two weeks since the 2nd vaccine. Wednesday morning at 3am I'll be heading to the casino to play poker again for the first time since November. I hope I remember how!

What, it’s not like riding a bicycle?

Enjoy getting back to “normal”, Ryan.

it wasn't spicy, just well flavored. Number Two Son who doesn't like spicy foods had two helpings!

Good to know, because I’m the same with spicy food, but this is one recipe I’d really like to try.

SP needed a medical release to return to work at his 2nd job, he had two managers say he should get a release for "restricted work" to limit his hours.  Surgeon wouldn't do it - 6wks is their standard and he was out for 7.  :(

Well yes, because as we all know .. all people are exactly the same. No one could possibly need anything different than the standard.

I hope SP is okay .. sounds like he has understanding bosses.
