To quote the sage of Liverpool: ...and a Happy New Year. Hope it's a good one... in every sense of the word!

Glad to hear the worst is behind you -- or at least we hope it is. Don't try to do too much, too fast, though.

A boatload of my relatives had the norovirus, so we stayed home for Christmas and New Year's. Now, it looks like the first major snowstorm in years is headed our way. I'm rushing to the grocery store to buy milk, bread, and toilet paper (and some things I actually need!).

They are calling for some nasty weather our way this weekend.   I expect the grocery store to be a madhouse

Hello and Happy New Year all.

I saw an idea to make a bingo board for yourself with goals but large and small, silly and serious instead of a resolution.  I think it sounds fun.

What would be a square on your bingo board?

I think I might choose "read  5 nonfiction books". I read a ton, but it's almost always fiction stories.

I was thinking of you during yesterday’s appalling behaviour by Lilibeth and Greta, both of whom had peed on the rush matting in the hall to the holiday apartment. One then decided it would be fun to run off and play in the field with the owner’s rescue dog who was not clued into how dachshunds have to be refined even at play…… This pm Lili has thrown up four times on Paco’s bed (hee hee) and appears to be coming into season just as we are leaving.   Where are those old Valium tablets, when I need them?

I would really love to meet your pups!

I will post some snaps!
Now for the journey home.  At least in the car they are a dream and not a nightmare (well, except for Lilibeth who is trying to chew through her safety belt…….).

I’m not back to work tomorrow as it’s a public holiday in Catholic (??) Spain.  But I will be taking an evil dachshund to jail for crimes against electric cables (tv and wifi cut) whilst we were shopping….

Sorry. I probably shouldn’t laugh at criminal behaviour, but I did.

I’m betting the evil dachshund will be rocking those jailhouse stripes…

...and Merry Christmas! Today is December 25 by Julian Calendar.

Some Eastern Orthodox Christian still use this old Calendar because they don't want to use "pope's" new (Gregorian) Calendar. Instead, no matter how absurd it sounds - we use the calendar of the Caesar - a pagan ruler of the Roman Empire!!! 🤪
