Worst part for me was the lidocaine (?) injection. Any pain from the dye injection was hidden from the general pain caused by laying on a barely padded metal table. Hip is still a bit tender this morning if I put pressure on it just right, but that should fade as the morning moves on. 6

Popular Post chris191070 Posted August 24, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2021 (edited) Hey All So I finally got to speak to someone from Urology. Hopefully within in 4 weeks, I'll be admitted to hospital for surgery. Laser to break up the stone and remove the stent at the same time. Still no news on settling Dad's estate, waiting on probate. Hope everyone is keeping well. Edited August 24, 2021 by chris191070 7

I was never a people person. New people coming in to my section were all told to never say "good morning" or "how are you?" or any other platitude to me. Never understood it personally even though I suppose it could "grease the wheels" in some fashion. Seems a total waste of time to me. PS - I would tolerate a small head nod! Popular Post Kitt Posted August 24, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2021 Ok, adult student decides she wants to do an out of state eventing show. Weekend deal, drive Friday, compete Saturday, return home Sunday. Big expense for her. We agree I will pay for my own hotel room (my idea, she was willing to pay, but she is already paying for transport of the horse, training fees, competition fees, and stable fees.) So, we leave Friday am. Sunday I ask hubby to pick clothes for himself and get suitcase from storage. Monday no clothes, no suitcase. I have all my clothes picked, folded, and on the corner of the dresser. Tuesday am suitcase is out, he took some of the hint. No clothes tho. So, my stuff is into the case, I shuffle thru his closet and dresser, find shirts, underwater, socks, swim suit. Fold and pack. Go to grab jeans for him. Empty drawer. Empty laundry basket. Nothing in the hamper either. I am now very afraid to go down to the basement to see just how many pairs of pants he has stuffed into the washing machine. 1 5 3

Ryan Jones Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 Update on the child I never knew about. I was informed this morning that said child had been located. I say child but he will be 57 years old later this year. My friend who relayed the news to me asked me if I wanted to make sure and when I responded in the affirmative he told me that today a two person team will be heading up to the suburbs of Philadelphia to surreptitiously acquire a DNA sample. Once I'm sure of his parentage then the real decision will have to be made. A nice early wedding present. On the wedding front it appears as if none of my currently known family will be there in person. The US still hasn't opened travel from the Netherlands to the US. Unless it happens by next weekend it'll be too late since the date of the nuptials is fast approaching. 1 4

If you're really that insistent on doing this, then be up front with your actions rather than take this "cloak and dagger" approach. Contact the man directly and tell him the entire story, rather than having people "surreptitiously" obtain his DNA without his consent and thereby removing all choice and say about the matter from him. On the other hand by obtaining and testing his DNA beforehand, it would determine if he is @Ryan Jones’s son or not without interrupting his life. The only issue I can see here is he may not want his DNA on record as this is the case with many individuals. Maybe being upfront about the situation is the best way to go? That is, let the choice be his. You know put his wishes above all else as hard as that may be it is showing respect towards him, which is something he might greatly appreciate and view as a positive. Just my two cents… 1 1
