I agree 100%  I finally got my kitchen sorted tonight. May have had the assistance of a weeeeee bit too much peanut butter whiskey. So now it's time to chill out a bit. 

Hopefully tomorrow and Sunday will be a heck of a lot better than today.

It's in the freezer. Anything you can't find (corkscrew, spoon, meat thermometer, dishrag, your last cup of coffee) will be in the freezer. LOL.

If it isn't in the freezer, try the veggie drawer of the fridge. Somehow my cell phone ended up in there last weekend! Admittedly I was a little scatterbrained after working the office of a show on Saturday and moving a total of 11 horses in two days, but hey, who says I should not have tried to cook at the end?

yeah.. just one at a time ... treat yourself to an ice maker if it's something that'll make life better for you. Why not?

We broke the record high today - hit 110F     We've been at/over 100 for quite a few days now and have several more to go. We'll get into out "top 10" for number of consecutive days there.

I actually did get a countertop icemaker and rearranged some stuff tonight so it can have a permanent home. 

One of my maintenance guys is coming over on Saturday to build a closet for me in the living room. That will alleviate a lot of the remaining clutter. It will also give us a place to hang up our sweatshirts and jackets. Coat closets are not common in Florida.

We had temps in the 90s this afternoon/earlier today, but with the humidity it was feeling like 106. I was just out there bagging yard waste, and it’s still really humid (feeling like 99), and lucky me, I got two mosquito bites.

AC is still on, and it might be on all night if the forecasted t-storm doesn’t cool things down.

Temp at 6:30 this morning was already 89F.  Still shouldn't get quite as hot as yesterday though. We got some rain last night, but not enough.

It's brutal this time of year. My son texted me the other day, it was over 100 where he is and not expected to go any lower than the mid-90s for at least a week. 

Not even the coastal breeze is helping here. It's like a blast from a hair dryer.

Don’t know the temp right now, but T-storms in the forecast tonight, so hopefully, that means the heat warning will finally end.

Good analogy, because that’s exactly how it feels here as well. The occasional breeze alleviates that feeling for a bit. That and lots of ice water.

it's Friday

Michael's dad has been having a rough time of it.. was in the ER for one reason, had a mini stroke while there. He's home and we hope the effects are temporary.

Mini strokes and/or TIA's can be almost as scary as a full blown stroke. Fortunately the effects usually ARE temporary. 

While working thru this remember to take time to take care of each other. Sometimes these things can be tougher on the family than the patient.
